can we do this with a khyber,s stock meter
not that uni coloured stuff like placing leds at the back which makes the whole meter green or blue according to the led,s colour

can we do something which looks really cool like these?

btw this is how the stock meter looks at night :S
any ideas to improve it so that it can resemble those shown above?

will anybody care to answer my this question ^ ? :S

Hi Guys, I also own a white Khyber 1997 in very good condition without modifications. I have been member of PW for a long time but couldn't find Khyber Fans Club before but I am happy to see a Khyber lovers community on PW. I am planning to change tyres of my Khyber from 145/80-12 to 165/70-12. I would be grateful of Khyber lovers if they can suggest good tyre brand for Khyber easily available in Lahore. Thanks!

Thanks for the appreciation. First of all this picture is not clean. Meter looks far better in actual than the pic. I got it done in 1700 in which i also changed the plastic sheet infront of meter with the black one. Look at this one.

It will cost you around 1400Rs. Atleast 40 LEDs will have to be placed at back side of the meter for that complete circuit will be made and it will need resistors as well where needed. You can also glow the needle as in the picture above. The guy who has got his meter done was not able to glow the fuel and heat guages becuase there isnt enough space in the back of meter of mehran and khyber so that the red LED can be installed in the needles which can actually glow it. But you can also glow them buy using the red foil.

Hi Guys, At last I have got the tires changed for my Khyber. The change specification is as follows:

Old: 145/80-12 (HANKOOK Centum)
New: 165/70-12 (DUNLOP SP Sport 490)

I was initially in favour of Bridgestone B70 but when I visted the market of Faisal Town and Neela Gumbad and checked many brands of tires then my observations were the following:

1- DUNLOP DIGI ECO are too soft (30000-3100/- per piece)
2- Bridgstone B70 were hard among all that I checked (3500-3700/- per piece)
3- KUMHO is coming from china so every shop keeper suggested to not go for it
4- DUNLOP SP Sport 490 is good balance between soft and hard tires (3400-3500/- per piece)
5- Yokohama are also soft tires (3500-3600/- per piece)

Finally I decided to go for DUNLOP SP Sport 490 and 4 tires cost me 13800/- (3450/- per piece) from Pak Punjab (Neela Gumbad). The experience so far is:
1- The noise has been gone which I have been observing with my old tires
2- Steering has got a little bit hard because size is changed from 145 to 165 but still its OK

I will share more experience as time passes. Thanks for everyone who gave his precious suggestions on the topic.
