Creating this thread to serve as a dedicated discussion platform for Isuzu D-Max 2nd generation since there is no separate Isuzu section on Pakwheels forums. Links of all the pre-existing threads regarding the vehicle have been posted at the bottom of the post so as to make it easier for anyone looking for information on Isuzu D-max and avoid any further confusion.

This is for all the owners, prospective owners, fans, and just general 4x4 enthusiasts to share their views, opinion, and experiences of the vehicle.

I also request all the mods to create a separate Isuzu section, D-max subsection and move this thread and all the pre-existing threads there to avoid any further confusion.

A brief introduction:

In 2011, Isuzu revealed its all-new D-MAX pickup truck, which was designed in cooperation with GM and is a sister model to the 2012 Chevrolet Colorado. As with previous models, the 2012 Isuzu D-Max shares its ladder chassis platform, body construction, mechanical components, and interior design (dash, center stack, steering wheel, and doors) with the 2013 North American Chevrolet Colorado. From A-pillar on back, Isuzu D-Max appears to be a clone of Chevy Colorado but gets its own visual identity due to an aggressive angular front fascia with upswept headlights and a more conventional grille design. D-max also uses Isuzu's own engine and drivetrain.

In Pakistan, the pickup truck was officially launched by Gandhara Industries ltd in November 2018, with the facelift introduced in June 2020. A total of six different variants were launched in 2.5 ltr and 3.0 ltr engine configurations. The vehicle has won multiple awards over its lifetime with the latest one being the winner in ‘Best Work Ute’ category in the Delivery Magazine Best LCV Awards for 2020.

I test drove the car yesterday at Isuzu Shahra faisal. Very sweet ride. Rides softer than Revo. Rear seats are more inclined and alot more comfortable than revo.

4Hi and 4Lo are there. It has no diff-lock but has an LSD in the rear. They have brought diff-lock in new 3rd gen d-max that was recently launched in Thailand

Revo is overrated. Did KHi to Sehwan and back before lockdown in Revo, good but nothing exceptional. Obviously it had warped brakes at 22kms mileage and on high speed braking would shudder like a b grade movie actress shooting for a bedroom scene..

am sure the features will convince many serious users to pay visit and test drive it. Performance & features will sell the unit itself. Bosch Injection pump is heart of the system and Gandhara is master for diesel motors being major share holder of diesel pullers in market along Hino.

Thank you all for appreciating the DMAX.

I got this in April this year and due to Covid i have no gone out much, so its only 1500 KM driven at this stage.

I am going to upload some pictures of the current condition

I also added a rear boot lid setup from Tough Fox, provided by Foxtrot Pvt Ltd.

Since I have added the rear boot lid its added weight on the bed of the truck and it has become more stable and also jumps less. I find the suspension to be softer than the Revo.

Aight why nobody's excited for this? Guys it's the same teenager in school who got glow up.

Gandhara has nailed it in speccing wise. Yeah it's RWD only and with questionable powertrain.

In a world where 4 cylinder Prados are widely accepted without touching dirt, this makes it very compelling product in the market.

I'm genuinely excited how market treats this truck. Consumers now can either pick features equipped crossovers and now this as sho sha ghar ki waddi gaddi in value to money pricing for a Japanese heavy duty brand.
