The 4th Generation Honda Life was launched in 2003. The 4th Generation Honda Life is a front engine front wheel drive kei car that is sold primarily in the Japanese market. The 4th Generation Honda Life saw the introduction of a new 4-speed automatic transmission and optional 4WD. The Honda Life 4th Generation feature an updated design language and was also the first Honda car to introduce the new “Honda Smart Parking Assist System” feature. Production of the Honda Life 2003 lasted for six years. The Honda Life was available to purchase during the years 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and the year 2008. The 4th Generation Honda Life is available in 3 variants C, D and F. The price of 4th Generation Honda Life is fairly competitive when compared to other models in the same class.

The exterior of the 4TH Generation Honda Life features a fairly common kei car design language. The front end houses trapezium styled side swept headlights, a large bumper and dual air intakes. The rear end houses stacked side swept headlights and standard case hatchback. All variants of the Honda Life feature identical styling in every aspect. The overall exterior of the 2003 Honda Life features a fairly restrained design language even for a kei car.

The interior of 4th Generation Honda Life features the use of beige and grey colored plastic trim pieces. The front and rear seats are covered in a choice of black or beige fabric. Standard features on the C variant includes air conditioning, power lock doors, power windows, stereo speaker system, dual front airbags, cup holders, power steering and a tachometer. Features on the higher end F variant includes climate control as standard and allow wheels. Features on the highest D variant includes rear roof spoiler, power adjustable mirrors, roof rails, rear windscreen wiper, front fog lights and side impact airbags.  Options include satellite navigation, Honda Smart Parking Assist System, climate control and keyless entry. The overall interior of the 4th Generation Life is fairly spacious in both the front and rear when considering its exterior dimensions. It also offers a good level of comfort and interior refinement.
