The 6th Generation Daihatsu Mira was introduced in 2002.The 6th Generation Mira is a front engine front/four wheel drive kei car. The Daihatsu Mira 6th Generation is also sold as the Daihatsu Core and the Daihatsu Charade in other regions of the world. The 6th Generation Mira is available in 2 variants X and L. The Mira was also available in 2 body styles 3-door hatchback and 5-door hatchback. Production of the 6th Generation Daihatsu Mira lasted for 5 years. The Daihatsu Mira was available to purchase during the years 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and the year 2006. The price of the Daihatsu Mira 2006 is fairly competitive when compared to other models in the same class.

The exterior of the 6th Generation Mira features a very familiar design language to many other kei cars. The front end houses trapezium styled headlights, a trapezium grille, and a small front bumper. The rear end houses long narrow vertical stacked taillights and a standard case hatchback. The 5-door hatchback features identical styling to the 3-door hatchback apart from being slightly longer in to accommodate the rear doors. All variants of the Daihatsu Mira feature identical styling in every aspect. The overall exterior of the 6th Generation Daihatsu Mira features a fairly restrained design language that is familiar for a kei car designed in early 2000.

The interior of the 6th Generation Toyota Mira compromises the use of light gray plastic trim pieces.The front and rear seats are covered in black fabric. Standard features on the L variant include air conditioning, power lock doors, power windows, side impact airbag, dual front airbags, power steering and a stereo speaker audio system. Features on the higher end X variant includes power adjustable mirrors, a roof spoiler, and front fog lights. Options include satellite navigation, leather steering wheel, and traction control. The overall interior of the 6th Generation Daihatsu Mira offers a good amount of interior space for a kei car of its small exterior dimensions. It also offers a decent level of comfort and interior refinement.
