United, Pakistan’s popular motorbike manufacturer, is a new contender in the car market. Besides being new, United Motors is also Pakistan’s one and only local car manufacturing company. The company has launched two cars in the Pakistani auto market, 800cc United Bravo and 1000cc United Alpha. With both these models, United Pakistan has targeted the first time car buyers looking for a basic sedan or hatchback. United Bravo sparked the interest of a lot of Pakistanis at the time of its launch, but the car’s popularity has faded away with time. United Alpha, on the other hand, is a new addition in the 2025 sedan segment. The company has high hopes for Alpha to win the target consumers over.

History of United Motors

United Motorcycle is a famous Pakistani national brand. United Bikes are a huge deal in the local motorcycle market. United Motors acquired the Greenfield status in Pakistan under the Automotive Development Policy 2016-2020. The company set up a car manufacturing and assembling plant in Lahore, back in 2017. A year later, it debuted in the local car market, in collaboration with a Chinese automaker, with its 800cc sedan, the United Bravo. For two years, there was no other United car in Pakistan and Bravo was the sole bread earner of United Motors. The company launched its second car, the United Alpha, in the start of 2021 as the first car of the year. 

Performance and Technology in United Vehicles

So far, consumers are not very satisfied with the performance of United cars in Pakistan.

United Bravo

United Bravo, a 800cc sedan, came in 2018 as a big competition of Pakistani favourite, the Suzuki Mehran. The company locally manufactured the Bravo in collaboration with a Chinese automaker. Bravo is a rebadged Dahe DH350 with an 800cc inline 3-cylinder EFI engine that produces 40hp at 5,500 rpm and 60Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. Power steering, air conditioner, rearview camera, infotainment system, fog lamps, alloy rims, and keyless entry are its main feature highlights. 

United Alpha

United Alpha, a 1000cc hatchback, has recently entered the Pakistani market in 2021. Alpha is a facelifted version of a Chinese car, the Chery QQ which itself was a Chinese Knock-off of Chevrolet Joy. Alpha has a better build quality than its older sibling, the Bravo. The car comes with a 993cc 4-cylinder engine that produces 69hp and 93Nm Torque paired with 5-speed manual transmission. Notable features are power steering, power windows, 13-inch alloy wheels, LCD camera, and reverse camera.
