i am one of the old timer of this site with the ID (ferio1)ibought this car back in 2009 with a rotary 6-speed The type-S,as you know rotary engines specialy of RX-8 are not that much tough as of conventional piston engines,so i decided to swap a conventional engine in it,option was to swap a 1jz gte which was readily available here with a very nominal price but i remembers the alterations done with one of RX-8 & secondly its loads of weight,finaly in the summers 2010 i decided to swap SR20DET S-15 version which is much more lighter than 1jz gte even than the rotary & capable of 600 bhp,talk doesnt ends here coz engine was not available in pakistan so my mechanic specialy went to dubai to get this engine,intercooler was imported from UK,other gadgets are apexi induction kit,silvia mass air flow,blow off valve,stage3 6-puck copper ceramic clutch.At last the project was completed in february 2011 and since then its working perfectly.My interview regarding my RX-8 was broadcasted in the month of april by K-2 channel,its the first RX-8 of pakistan swapped with this version of engine not that much sure of the world and i am sure that its the fastest RX-8 of pakistan., Kenwood Lcd rear view mirror monitor,Defi boost gauge,apexi turbo timer, Fiber glass full body kit,ferrari logos personaly bought from ferrari store in italy.
