The exterior of the 3rd Generation Audi A8 features a very familiar but distinctive design language. The front end features narrow, sleek, angular side swept headlights, a very large trapezium shaped chrome front grille and standard circular fog lamps. Options include a choice between 3 different styles of rims and carbon fiber trim pieces. The rear end features narrow, sleek LED taillights, a slim chrome trim piece running the length of the trunk and a large rear bumper. The S8 and the S8 Plus feature a slightly different and more Sport design language. The front end houses a slightly larger front bumper with larger air intakes and a front splitter, the rear end houses a sports exhaust system and rear diffuser while the S8 Plus features a lip spoiler. The facelift variant of the Audi A8 features Matrix glare free LED headlights and taillights.
