The 10th Generation Honda Civic X came into the international market in 2015 with a new design language as well as a range of cleaner, more powerful, and more efficient engines. Known as Civic X, it was launched in the Pakistani market in 2016. It is a front-engine, front-wheel drive, subcompact sedan. It is available in 3 variants in Pakistan: 1.8 Liter, 1.8-Liter VTI Oriel, and 1.5 RS Turbo while globally it is sold in 4 variants LX, EX, EX-T, and EX-L.

Honda Civic  10th Generation exterior comes with a brand new design language with more aggressive curves and strokes. The front end houses a trapezium chrome grille with integrated LED headlights and LED daytime running lights. They are further accompanied by chrome LED fog lamps for better visibility. The sloping rear end houses aggressively designed angular C-shaped side swept taillights while the top of the car features a sunroof.

The car’s interior comprises black and polished silver plastic trim pieces while the front and rear seat trims are available in a combination of black, gray, and ivory fabric. A full-color TFT digital display features the car’s instrument cluster. A 2DIN integrated audio is available in all the variants except the RS Turbo which comes with a 7-inch touchscreen advanced display audio. All the variants support Bluetooth, iPhone, and USB port connectivity. 4 speakers provide a satisfactory audio experience for the passengers. Map light, dome light, and trunk light come as a standard in all the variants of the Honda Civic X. 

Some standard features that are available in all the cars competing with Civic include 2 airbags, an immobilizer, an auto-door locking system, a keyless entry system, and E-CON assist system. 

Standard safety features in the Honda Civic 10th Generation include automatic climate control, traction control, electronic stability control, cruise control, auto-brake hold, vehicle stability assist, anti-lock braking system, emergency stop signal, and navigation.

The 10th Generation Honda Civic X is offered with a selection of 2 Engines: the 1.5 Liter DOHC 16 Valve Earth Dream Technology Engine and the 1.8 Litre SOHC 16 Valve Engine.

The 1.8 L i-VTEC and i-VTEC Oriel have a displacement of 1799cc while the Turbo Oriel and RS Turbo have 1498cc engines. The 1.8 liters variants have a power of 103/6500 kW/rpm at a torque of 169/4300 Nm/rpm. On the other hand, the Turbo variants generate a power of 127/5500 kW/rpm at a torque of 220/4500-5000 Nm/rpm. 

All the variants have CVT transmission.

Performance ratings for the Honda Civic are among the best in the class. The car is well-handled, rides in a composed manner, and has a powerful engine lineup. The fuel economy on the Civic is also quite good. Those who want quicker acceleration will probably be happy with the base engine, while those who want something turbocharged should choose one of the turbocharged models. The CVT is responsive and pairs well with Civic engines. With its responsive steering, this car is remarkably easy to manoeuvre around corners. While riding on rough pavement, it provides a comfortable ride, and it has powerful brakes. 

Honda Civic X is not a new name in the market and as it is locally assembled, its auto parts are easily available. Its maintenance and repair is also easy as all the mechanics have extensive knowledge of the car.

Honda Civic 10th Generation competes with Toyota Corolla Altis Grande and Toyota Prius in the Pakistani market. Honda beats both the Altis Grande and Prius due to its larger dimensions and better stability but Toyota has a strong and loyal fan base in Pakistan due to which it gives a strong competition to the Civic.
