The 5th Generation Honda Life was introduced in 2008. The 5th Generation Life is a front engine front/four wheel drive Kei car. Production of the 5th Generation Honda Life lasted for seven years. The Honda Life was available to purchase during the years 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and the year 2014. The exterior of the 5th Generation Honda Life features classic Kei car design language. The front end houses large side swept headlights, a rectangular grille with a chrome accent and dual air intakes. The rear end houses a roof spoiler, angular rectangular taillights, and a standard case hatchback. All variants of the Honda Life feature identical styling in every aspect. The overall exterior Honda Life 5th Generation features a fairly restrained design language.

The interior of the Honda Life compromises of gray plastic trim pieces. The front and rear seats are covered in fabric. Standard features on the C and Pastel variants include power steering, power lock doors, power windows, air conditioning and a tachometer. The DIVA variant features Xenon headlights as standard, climate control as standard and a rear roof spoiler.
