The 2nd Generation Nissan March was introduced in 1992. The 1992 Nissan March is a front engine front wheel drive subcompact hatchback. The 2nd Generation Nissan March features a fairly restrained and minimalistic design language. The front end houses angular rectangular style side swept headlights, a small rectangular style grille with quad inlets, dual air intakes and a large outward sticking bumper. The rear end houses angular stacked vertical side swept taillights, an outward sticking bumper and a standard case hatchback. The 5-door hatchback variant features identical styling apart from being slightly longer in order to accommodate the rear doors. The 2-door cabriolet features a slightly longer body style than the 5-door hatchback, it features a cloth roof that can be put up and down manually, the rear end houses larger rectangular styled stacked side swept taillights and an outward sticking bumper. All variants of the Nissan March feature identical styling. The overall exterior of the 1992 Nissan March features fairly minimalistic styling that is familiar for a Japanese hatchback designed in the early nineties.

The interior of the 1992 Nissan March features the use of black plastic trim pieces. The front and rear seats are covered in fabric. Standard features on the Collet-f include air conditioning, power steering, power lock doors, a stereo speaker system and a tachometer. Features on the higher end Mia variant include front fog lamps, a leather steering wheel, the rear windscreen wiper and cassette input on the stereo speaker audio system. Options include power windows and side airbags.
