The exterior of the 1st Generation Land Rover Defender features a very boxy and classic design. The front end houses circular headlights, an outward sticking black colored bumpers and a rectangle front grille. The overall exterior of the 1st Generation Land Rover Defender features a fairly boxy and classic design language but is still able to stand out amongst its rivals.

The interior of the 1st Generation Land Rover Defender is designed to be functional and modular due to the various range of variants.
