28th January, Faisalabad: An impressive handing-over ceremony of 45 units of Porter H-100 pickup to M/s Shan Distributors & Shan Marketing Services was held at Hyundai Nishat Motor Pvt. Ltd., plant, Faisalabad. The event was attended by the Directors of Shan Distributors and Shan Marketing who received the ceremonial keys of their brand new Hyundai Porter High-deck and Deckless variants from Mr. Tatsuya Sato-COO HNMPL & Mr. Junya Masuda - EVP Sales & Marketing HNMPL. Other senior company officials from HNMPL were also present on the occasion. The production of Porter H-100 pickup and its committed deliveries to the customers have already begun from early January 2020. On Monday 2-12-2019 Hyundai Nishat Motors has launched its yet another locally manufactured vehicle porter H-100 pickup for its customers in Pakistan at an event held in PC Hotel Lahore. [gallery ids="129873,129872,129874,129876"] As per the details, the vehicle is equipped with a 2.6L Diesel Euro-11 engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Porter H-100 has a payload capacity of 1 ton. Note here that the previous version of this vehicle was Hyundai Shehzore, which was an iconic machine back in the days. The vehicle is able to produce 79 hp at 3,800 rpm and churns out 167 nm of torque. The booking of the vehicle will commence from 3-12-2019; however, the delivery will start in January 2020. 2018 is destined to be a good year for the automobile industry, as local manufacturers are set to introduce new vehicles in the country to attract more consumers. The competition in pickup segment has already started as many local automakers have already launched their pickup trucks in the market. Ghandhara Nissan, Dewan-Daehan and Hyundai-Nishat are competing in this segment. CPEC is considered to be the game changer for all of South Asia. Daehan Shehzore: Dewan-Daehan Motors launched all-new Daehan Shehzore pickup in the local market at the end of March. The vehicle is equipped with 2600cc naturally aspirated 4-cylinder SOHC 8-valve diesel injection engine. The motor produces 79 horsepower at 4000rpm and 166.7Nm of torque at 2200rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The dimensions of the pickup are 5145mm x 1740mm x 2020mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2720mm. The bed is 3100mm long (10.12 feet) Daehan Shehzore is priced at PKR 1,849,000. JAC X200: Ghandhara Nissan was importing JAC X200 for last six months. But to give competition to other manufacturers, the company has started assembling the vehicle locally. The first Roll Off ceremony of the locally assembled X200 held 0n 4th April 2018 at Ghandhara Nissan Truck Plant. The pickup has a 2771cc diesel engine that produces 76hp at 3600 rpm and 174 Nm of torque at 2000-2200 rpm. Moreover, the dimensions of the truck are 4840 mm, 1750 mm, and 2040 mm (length x width x height) and have a wheelbase of 2470 mm. Jac X200 has 9.2 ft deck length with 1150 kg payload capacity. The vehicle is priced at around Rs 1.6 million. Hyundai H-100: Hyundai-Nishat has been awarded the Greenfield investment status by the government. And the company is all geared up to launch new vehicles in the country. In the near future, the company is launching its pickup namely H-100 in the Pakistani market. As per the technical aspects of the vehicles are concerned, it is coming with the 2600cc engine same as Daehan Shehzore, as both the companies are using Hyundai’s engine. So, the torque and the horsepower of the vehicle are the same as Daehan Shehzore. Moving onward, the dimensions of the H-100 pickup truck are (4850 x 1630 x 1970) L x W x H (mm). And it has a wheelbase of 2430mm. The price of the vehicle is not yet revealed by the company.
