The Yamaha Raider XV1900 was powered by a high-performance, air-cooled, long-stroke, OHV, 4-valve-per-cylinder, 48-degree V-twin engine with a displacement of 1,854cc. This long-stroke OHV engine featured four valves per cylinder and dual spark plugs for each cylinder, providing enhanced combustion and a strong pulse feel.

Maximum power is 100 hp at 4,250 rpm, with a torque of 168 Nm at 2,500 rpm, delivering excellent low-end grunt. The motorcycle utilised a traditional pushrod valve system, which enabled a more compact engine design and improved heat management. A five-speed transmission with a hydraulic clutch enabled smooth gear transitions, and the fifth gear acted as an overdrive for highway cruising. It employed a low-maintenance belt drive system, which not only minimised upkeep but also improved rear suspension performance due to reduced unsprung weight.

With a dry-sump lubrication system and dual three-rotor high-capacity oil pumps, engine durability and efficiency were key priorities. The Raider featured a cast aluminium double-cradle frame, optimised for strength and lightness, and used a 46mm Kayaba front fork and link-type rear suspension with adjustable preload. The braking system included dual 298mm floating discs with 4-piston callipers at the front and a single 310mm disc at the rear. The front tire was a 120/70-21 and the rear a massive 210/40-18, contributing to the aggressive stance. It weighs 329 kg.

The design of the Yamaha Raider XV1900 emphasised both performance and a distinct custom cruiser aesthetic. It has a length of 2,570 mm, a width of 925 mm, a height of 1,165 mm, a wheelbase of 1,800 mm, and a seat height of 695 mm. With a raked-out front fork and a 40-degree total fork angle, the bike showcased a true chopper-inspired look while retaining responsive and light handling thanks to Yamaha's engineering tweaks.

The long, low silhouette, large teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and flangeless, weld-free finish gave it a sleek and polished appearance. The dual exhaust system featured a 2-into-1-into-2 layout with a titanium EXUP power valve, delivering a deep, throaty V-twin growl and contributing to emissions control and torque boost. The aluminium swingarm was not only lightweight and strong but also added to the motorcycle's aesthetic appeal with its clean design lines.

Instrumentation was mounted on the fuel tank, featuring an analogue speedometer, digital odometer, fuel gauge, trip meters, and clock, with adjustable backlighting. Its handlebars concealed all wiring internally for a tidy look, and the chrome chip guards on the front fork added both style and protection.

The Raider's two-piece seat was ergonomically shaped for rider comfort, offering a chopper-style "sit-in" position, while the pillion seat doubled as a backrest. The headlight assembly was custom-styled and adjustable, and the steel fenders were designed for easy customisation.

A 16-litre total fuel capacity ensured a decent range for long rides. The bike's aesthetics were further enhanced with mirror-polished cooling fins on the engine and a hidden rear shock, which completed the clean, hardtail look.

However, it is not recommended for first-time riders or those looking for fuel-efficient commuting. It caters more to collectors, long-distance riders, and cruiser fans who value torque, comfort, and style. The resale market for such high-capacity bikes is limited but stable among niche buyers.
