My Reason for loving this car

2022 KIA Picanto 1.0 MT

Posted by on Feb 17, 2025

Familiarity: I owned this car.
I have been using it since 2022, the overall it's a good family car but my only concern is it's fuel consumption, rest it's a good car to have it's road grip is magnificent and it gives you a better ride on hilly areas as well. Although as mentioned earlier, it's not very efficient fuel wise in urban areas but once on highway, you start to love this car

Great buy

2021 KIA Picanto 1.0 AT

Great car. I have been using this since 2022. Ma Sha Allah the transmission is very smooth. Doesn't give a single jerk while shifting. Throttle is responsive. On highway if you drive it at 110 throughout the journey, it gives you the average of 16 (Only if your RPM is between 2 and 3). The leg room at the rear seat is Abit compromising including the boot space too as the dashboard is quiet long. The build quality is far better than of Cultus. If you wanna experience the build quality, than just open and close the door of Cultus and then of Picanto. You'll feel a massive different in weight and quality. Ma Sha Allah great car. Alhamdulillah enjoying this car alot!!!

I've been using the Picanto for 2.5 years, and it delivers a solid fuel average of 16 to 18 km/l effortlessly. Throughout this time, I haven't faced any major issues or required any repairs. The car remains reliable, efficient, and smooth to drive, making it a great choice.

Better looks
Comfortable seating
AC and heater performance outstanding
Fuel Economy is lesser compared to Alto and Cultus; but its build quality is superior to them.
Highway : 14 - 15 kmpl (16 kmpl without AC)
City: 12 - 13 kmpl (14 kmpl without AC)
Overall a good value for money

Kia Picanto 2024

2024 KIA Picanto 1.0 MT

Paint quality is better compared to Suzuki
Head Lights need improvement, especially in Pakistan, as there is no standard street lighting here.
Suspension is good and responsive
The car lags a bit in pick up on highways, where you need immediate speeding.
Fuel Average is slightly lower. At highways on light foot, it easily goes 15kmpl plus; but drops down in city.
AC is outstanding.
The ECO mode tries to restrict the throttle to below 3000 rpm; ECO off gives good pick, but increases fuel consumption in acceleration.
The car remains aerodynamically stable at highways.
Rear wiper is a blessing
ABS performs well, and the brakes are superior to any other car of the league
The overall build quality is better to PKDM Suzuki
The car comfort level is superior, and does not irritate for long daily commutes.

Good car but with a few problems

2021 KIA Picanto 1.0 AT

Posted by Hanif Sarwari on Sep 15, 2024

Familiarity: I owned this car.
Paint quality is average especially around handles but in comparison with other cars it's much better....... interior is quite solid and durable. much better than cultus but there's a known issue with AC. AC performance gets deteriorated over time. AC evaporator is a known fault and dealership often gives you a hard time.. Comfort and drive is amazingly great. but the fuel average is bad. in city it gives you around 10 KM /L and on long it gives you 12-13

Comfortable Ride Bad Mileage

2021 KIA Picanto 1.0 AT

Posted by Sharjeel Mehr on Jul 26, 2024

I find it a very comfortable car, great drive, good interior. However the mileage is bad, really bad. Liked the car but I don't travel on it outside Lahore fearing it will run out of fuel on the motorway. Not sure how the manual version does but considering a car in modern times with only 10 to max 12 km per liter is really poor.

Very good car

2021 KIA Picanto

Posted by Abdul Hadee on Jul 04, 2024

The Kia Picanto is a standout in the city car segment, offering a blend of style, efficiency, and practicality. Its compact size makes it perfect for urban environments, allowing for easy maneuverability and parking. Despite its small footprint, the Picanto's design is modern and attractive, featuring sharp lines and a sporty stance. Inside, the car surprises with a spacious cabin that accommodates four adults comfortably, while the dashboard layout is intuitive and equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system that supports smartphone connectivity.

Under the hood, the Picanto offers a choice of efficient engines, including a 1.0-liter three-cylinder and a 1.2-liter four-cylinder, both providing adequate power for city driving. The ride quality is impressive for a car of its size, with a suspension that handles bumps and rough roads well. One of the Picanto's strengths is its fuel efficiency, making it a cost-effective option

Value for money

2020 KIA Picanto 1.0 AT

Posted by Amet Engineering on Jun 15, 2024

Nice exterior paint quality is much better compared to the competitors
Comfort level is better tham cultus but feels more rigid or hard suspension cpared to my last car Mira 2014. Clcockpit is easily accessable and more driver oriented with seat height adjustment and better visibility in all directions.
Fuel economy in city is 12 Km/l and on line ng routes you can yield 15 Km/l ( after driven 80,000 Km)
sStability and and road grip on highways are phenomenal. Only downside is its maintenance cost and unavailability of parts at dealership with long waits also some issues with there experties on these korean cars as most of the dealers were previously familiar with Japanese cars and their issue .
Major issue that i haved faced is its DRLs and Suspension noise due to my drive on bad roads of karachi
