The case began when Maqsood accused a car dealership in Multan of fraud, claiming it provided him with a vehicle with fake documentation after he traded in his own car. Despite retaining the original documents for his trade-in, Maqsood alleged the dealership demanded an additional Rs. 7 million. This led to an official investigation by local authorities.
Later on, Maqsood’s stolen car was found at a private residence in Lahore. The person possessing the vehicle claimed to have bought it legally, but after verification, authorities confirmed it was indeed stolen.
In conclusion, the case underscores the ongoing concerns about fraudulent practices in Pakistan’s used-car market.
