Hyundai Nishat Private Motor Limited (HNMPL) looks set to take the automotive industry by storm, once again, this year with their planned release of the all-new Hyundai STARIA – an 11 seater. Following the successful launch of Hyundai Elantra and Hyundai Sonata in 2021, this new vehicle from Hyundai has a host of smart features.
The STARIA offers several possibilities, whether it’s a short or long excursion. First and foremost, with a vehicle that can house up to 11 people, the STARIA comes with ample room. Whether it’s headroom, legroom, or luggage space, the spacious interior has been designed to maximize comfort and safety.
Variants of Hyundai STARIA
Hyundai has planned four different versions for its various sorts of customers, with the all-new STARIA coming in an “HGS” variant that is ideal for an active family and luxury business use. In contrast, the other three variants are vehicles for fleet business usage with multiple engines and transmission types.
Hyundai STARIA HGS (Top of the Line)
The all-new STARIA – HGS comes equipped with a 16-Valve V6-Cylinder, 3.5L Gasoline Engine, with 268hp and 331Nm Torque. The 8-speed Automatic Shift by Wire Transmission with paddle shifters offers greater control. Also, there are four different driving modes (Eco/ Sports/ Normal/ Smart) in the vehicle.
Interior
Main features for “HGS” include:
- A 10.25-inch digital cluster capable of Blind Spot monitoring camera display.
- 8-inch infotainment system with 6 speakers.
- Heated and ventilated front seats.
- Wireless charger.
- Dual sunroof.
- Auto-dimming rearview mirror.
- Dual-zone climate control with rear AC controls.
- 10-way driver power seat controls.
All seats are leather seats, with rear seats having the long sliding option.
Exterior
One of the things that truly solidify this vehicle is its design—inspired by the one curve gesture of celestial objects. The silhouette radiates elegance and is undoubtedly chic and different from its competitors. The notable features on the exterior are LED headlights, DRL & taillights, welcome lights, 18-inch Alloy wheels, smart powered rear doors, and tailgate, power-retractable side view mirrors.
Safety
The safety features include six airbags [front, side, and curtain +thorax], Traction control, stability control, hill assist, EBD, ABS, Blind view monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, 360 view camera system as well as the backup camera is available. All of the 11 seats come with three-point seat belts. ISOFIX seat anchors for child seats are also available. It looks like regular cruise control is available but not the adaptive cruise or any other active safety features.
Fuel Average
As per the Australian fuel economy figures show that the 3.5LV6 MPI has a rated fuel economy of 10.5L per 100 kilometers [ 9.5 km per liter]. Again, these are under lab test conditions and, in real life, might not be achievable. Also, in Pakistan, international fuel economy figures are normally not relevant, but we can take overseas numbers as guidelines.

Hyundai STARIA 2.2L CRDi (Diesel)
This 2.2L comes in two variants, and let us discuss the salient features of the vehicle.
Engine and Transmission
A 2.2L CRDi/ common rail diesel, which is a Turbo, might also be offered with the option of Automatic or Manual. Detailed specifications and features are not available currently. The 2.2L Diesel makes 177HP and 430NM of torque. And the engine is mated with 6-Speed Manual Transmission/8-speed automatic transmission. Exterior
These variants come with four Drive Modes, i.e., Eco, Sports, Normal and Smart. Meanwhile, the tyre size is 17-inch Steel. The Electrically Adjustable and Retractable Side Mirrors are also available, while headlights are Halogen with Bulb DRLs.
Interior
The first thing to notice is the fabric seats of the car. Furthermore, the Audio System is a 3.8-inch Mono TFT LCD with four speakers with Bluetooth, AUX, and USB options. The Heater and Air Conditioner in the vehicle are Manual Dual Zone.
Safety and Comfort
The car comes with several safety features, including Dual Airbags, Traction Control ABS + EBD, Brake Assist (BA). Meanwhile, there are Auto Light Controls and Head Light Delays for the owner’s comfort.
Hyundai STARIA 3.5L (Base)

As mentioned earlier, the car has a 3.5L petrol engine, generating 272HP and 331NM of torque. And it is mated with 8-Speed Automatic Transmission.
