“I have Modified Over 90% of DarkFear” – Owner Review
Today we’re back with the owner’s review of the DarkFear Civic Rebirth 2013. In this review, the owner shares his experience with the car and the modifications he has done to it. This 9th generation Civic is an oriel manual variant, it comes with a 1.8 liter R18 engine producing 141 hp and 174 nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission while an automatic was also offered. Let’s get to know more about the car and its modifications for which it is actually famous for.
Purchase Decision
The owner was buying his first car back in 2018 and had a budget of 2 million rupees. He considered a few cars including a new honda city which fell in this budget at the time, but he couldn’t buy one due to some policy changes. He also considered the Corolla but his mind was tilting towards a Honda after which he stumbled upon this 2013 Civic oriel manual. It came with all the features and was relatively cheaper being a manual. He bought the car for 17.5 lakhs.
Exterior Modifications
“I have modified around 90 percent of this car”, stated the owner. Modifications include 18 inch alloy rims with low profile tyres, air suspension through which the car is dropped and raised, aftermarket LED headlights and tail lights, a trunk spoiler which is very large in size, a custom built bonnet with hood scoops along with a bodykit throughout the car. Moreover, the car has an exhaust and all chrome parts are blacked out to complement the overall theme of the car.
Interior Modifications
Along with the exterior, the interior modifications are given significant emphasis. Firstly, the interior is blacked out which was previously beige, the dash and several other trims are carbon fiber which according to the owner is pretty hard to find. Other than that, the car has front bucket seats, a Civic SI style instrument cluster which is fitted with red colour film, ambient lighting in door panels and footwells and much more.\
Fuel Average
According to the owner. The fuel average he gets within city is around 9 to 10 km/l. He states that after putting an exhaust, he is tempted to push the car to hear its growl which adversely affects the fuel average. “If driven on stock rims, this Civic easily gives 13 km/l on normal driving”, added the owner.
Spare Parts and Maintenance
The owner has had nearly all the modifications done locally and in his opinion, every part is available. Genuine parts are also readily available along with a strong aftermarket support. As with maintenance, it is as of a normal Civic as the engine is not altered significantly.
