JAC Extends T9 FRISON 2X Bookings Amid Strong Demand
On October 9, Ghandhara Automobiles Limited (GAL) launched the JAC T9 FRISON 2X, a more affordable version of the top-spec Hunter trim. The new variant maintains much of the Hunter’s design, comfort, and performance features but comes with a rear-wheel-drive (4×2) configuration instead of the 4×4 drivetrain seen in the Hunter. On a lighter note, it costs Rs. 8,775,000 (ex-factory), Rs. 1,725,000 less than the Hunter trim.
According to GAL, the T9 FRISON 2X received a strong market response, with over 1,000 units booked within just 1.5 weeks of its launch. Following the FRISON 2X’s success, GAL has announced an extension in bookings for the T9 FRISON 2X.
In a message to dealers, Zain Afzal, GM, Marketing & Sales, advised dealers to start accepting bookings for deliveries in January 2026, effective from today (24th October).
Moreover, the JAC T9 lineup appears to be a strong performer for Ghandhara Automobiles. In a recent earnings report, the company posted a record profit in the first quarter of 2026, marking a 180% year-on-year (YoY) increase, with the T9’s market performance cited as a key growth driver.
Overall, the continued interest in the T9 reflects its positive reception in Pakistan’s pickup segment. However, it remains to be seen how the model performs over the long term as deliveries begin next year.
