Land Cruiser LC300 Vs. BMW X7 – A Comparison
Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 and BMW X7 are two full-sized SUVs but they are totally different. The first one is for luxury and off-roading, while the second is solely for a luxury feel and drive. We are comparing both cars based on the price range because their rates are somewhat similar, so without any further delay, here is the comparison.
Dimensions
The LC300 is 4985mm long, 1980mm wide, and 1905mm high, while X7 is 5151mm long, 2000mm wide, and 1805mm high, meaning the X7 is longer and wider but shorter than LC300. Both have a 7-person seating capacity.
Engine and Transmission
Toyota is offering a 3.5L Twin Turbo V6 engine with 3445cc displacement, 409hp, and 650Nm torque. In comparison, X7 comes with a 3.0L Turbocharged I-6 engine with 2998cc displacement, 335hp, and 450Nm of torque. So, there is no comparison between these two in this segment as Toyota’s SUV has a bigger engine, hence, higher horsepower and torque.
Next, LC300 is mated with 10-speed auto transmission compared to 8-speed automatic one in X7.
Exterior
The headlamps in LC300 are LED with dynamic auto-leveling, along with LED DRLs, fog lamps, and taillamps. Meanwhile, BMW’s SUV has adaptive LED headlights with LED DRLs, fog lamps, and taillights. So, both cars are quite the same in this regard.
Both offer smart entry and smart tailgate features; however, LC300 has a simple sunroof compared to a panoramic sunroof in BMW X7.
Interior
Both cars offer 10-way powered leather drive seats with memory function; however, X7 has an extra massage feature in its seat. The other standard options in both vehicles are multi-media steering and push start. If we look at the instrument cluster, LC300 has a 7-inch TFT LCD MID compared to a 12.3-TFT LCD MID in BMW’s SUV.
Furthermore, Toyota’s car has a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless connectivity against a 10.2-inch touchscreen with BMW live cockpit professional and gesture control. There is no ambient light in LC300, which is offered in X7.
The AC in Land Cruiser is 4-Zone Auto, while X7 has a 5-Zone Auto one.
Safety and Comfort
Land Cruiser offers 13 airbags compared to 9 in BMW. Both SUVs have ABS, Brake Assist, Vehicle Stability Control, Active Traction Control, Hill Ascend Control (HAC), Downhill Assist, and Terrain Assist. LC300 has an exclusive additional feature for off-roading named crawl control.
Lastly, both have a 360-degree camera and front + rear parking sensors.
Price
The price of Land Cruiser LC300 is Rs. 72,499,000, while the fresh price of the BMW X7 is Rs. 65,330,000. It means LC300 is Rs. 7,169,000.
Oh my God!
Miracle of Ramadan ? For the first time not only an article about a german car but also an objective comparison between 2 cars of the same segment .
Very good
But i would said for the second the BMW X7 is not for luxury feel but it is luxury and clearly with cutting edge technologies on board, and when is clearly not beat the LC 300 in off road but it is cearly more comforatable making it a very good traveler.
Overall i’am impressed to find the X7 is cheaper than the LC 300, well it is time for the X7 to shine over le LC….
Next an article about Mercedes GLS ???
B.M.W. is cheaper than A Toyota! Well that is the industry first I presume the Land Cruiser is going to lose out urban buyers at-least.
@Khurram
Bro BMW got Xmatic transmission don’t underestimate it. But sure it won’t beat LC on off road.
@Bhai Waqas
Oh well since I am not an engineer and do not even know the basics behind transmission therefore I take your word for Xmatic transmission being a good one.
