MG HS Price Increased by Rs. 23 Lacs!? 😵😵
In a rather astonishing development, MG HS Exclusive price has been increased by Rs. 23 lacs, which is undoubtedly HUGE. According to our sources, the notification circulating on social media is authentic.
New Price of MG HS Exclusive
As per a notification, the company said that due to the increase in duties and taxes in Federal Budget 2022, MG HS Exclusive Trophy Grade prices are expected to be approximately Rs. 8.9 million (89 Lacs) excluding freight. “We are seeking your consent for procession your order at the new expected price,” the company said. It further added that the company would confirm the delivery of the CBU unit after the submission of full payment.
Alternate Offers
In an alternate offer, MG Pakistan said it is happy to convert customers’ booking to MG ZS at Rs. 4,448,000. “We will deliver ZS within a week after payment of the difference amount,” the notification read.
Furthermore, the company requested the buyers to contact its office to get the refund if they don’t want to continue with the order.
“We do apologize for the inconvenience caused to increase in price after the mini-budget,” it asserted.
MG HS Essence (Locally Assembled)
At the end of the notification, MG Pakistan told its customers that they would get priority once MG HS Essence‘s bookings are open. It is pertinent to mention that Essence is the name of locally assembled MG HS. As per MG Pakistan, there is no difference between CBU and locally assembled units of the car.
MG Pakistan Stance
Talking to PakWheels.com, MG Pakistan has presented its stance in detail. As per the company, it has to increase the officials as Regulatory Duty (RD), and Federal Excise Duty (FED) has been increased on CBU units.
Furthermore, the officials said that we have offered multiple options to our buyers of MG HS, which are:
- Taking consent from the consumers whether they want to buy it or not, and after their consent, MG will import the vehicle.
- If buyers don’t want to buy HS now, they can go for MG ZS and buy it after paying the differential. “We don’t want to strip the consumers from MG experience,” the officials said.
- The consumers can opt for refund and get their payment back under terms and conditions of the Provisional Booking Order (PBO) form.
- And the final one is to wait for the locally assembled unit of MG HS. “We will give priority to these customers,” the officials said.
- We admit that deliver the cars late, but every car company in Pakistan and abroad faced this supply chain crisis.
Plant is Almost Ready
The biggest information MG officials gave us is that the plant of MG Pakistan is almost ready. “We are on the verge of starting the plant,” the official said, adding that MG’s plant will be best in some aspects of car assembly in Pakistan.

8.9 Million RP , like Haval Jolion it is the same price as Kia Sorento,
People who want to Haval or MG take a look to Kia Sorento the warranty is longer, you got 7 seats, the smallest of the engine is more powerful is a 2.4L engine, reliablity and durability is better.
Plenty of features…
Ha Ha. It was imminent. It is a strategy to run away from market. They were cheatings Govt. by importing CBU and not putting up their plant. The same will happen to others like Haval, Hyundai and Peugeot etc. The only serious new comer has been KIA as they are manufacturing their products in Pakistan. In future we will only see KIA and Proton rest all will vanish with billions of Rupees of customers.
@ Zafar Khan
Kia and Proton are the two most promising brand that come that far in Pakistan.
They are both rising in the world, Kia winning a lot of price, Proton growing his presence worldwide, Proton X-50 was spotted recently in India.
Anyway Kia and Proton offer good cars, good warranty at affordable prices.
Hyundai had just recently made some good move, with the Tucson and of course the Soanata.
BAll the other brands dosn’t worth to buy, lying to gain fame, some people think Haval and Peugeot are better than Audi how the hell they reach this point ?
I’am in France , even the french won’t dare to put Peugeot in the same level as Audi, and Haval just don’t exist in Europe.
All car manufacturers have a cartel they are upto foxing the consumers. Taking full advantage of govt concessions and not passing to the public. The real suckers of public money with no check and balance on quality and pricing.
Prices are too high unchecked nobody bothers. Free hand to squeeze the public.
@Khalid Malhi
