Naseem Shah, a famous Pakistani cricketer known for making his mark in the world as a teenager, was seen in an emotional video shared on Instagram recently. The video shows him listening to a heart-wrenching song while driving. The caption says: “When you miss your mom”. The song is “Chunar” by Arijit Singh, an ode to lost mothers.
What makes the video even more sad is the fact that Naseem Shah is driving a Tesla. Seeing Naseem Shah driving one of the best electric vehicles in the world shows how far he has come in his career. The car is also a hallmark of success nowadays and anyone driving a Tesla is deemed to have “made it”.

The video is tragic because Naseem, despite having achieved it all, misses what he deemed most precious in life – his mother. Naseem Shah lost his mother when he was just 16 years old. At the tender age of 16, Naseem Shah was on the brink of realizing his dream of making his international debut against Australia. Filled with anticipation and enthusiasm, he eagerly awaited his maiden international cap. However, the joy that Naseem had been feeling quickly transformed into profound sorrow when devastating news reached him. Tragically, just one day before his much-anticipated debut, he received the heartbreaking news of his mother’s untimely demise due to a sudden cardiac arrest.
Naseem seems to be driving somewhere abroad as the highway has foreign signs. The video has been shot by someone sitting in the front passenger seat as Naseem sings along to the song.
