When all the local automakers are announcing production cuts and facing delivery issues, Sazgar Engineering Works Limited (SEWL) is doing the opposite – Haval SUVs are produced at full-scale.
Last week, PakWheels team visited the Haval Production plant, where we found out that the production of Haval SUVs is in full swing. Moreover, we also learned that deliveries of Haval H6 took place before October 2022, a month prior to the schedule.
Meanwhile, SEWL executive director Ali Hameed reveals the company’s plans to upscale the localization of its cars in the coming five years. He also stated that SEWL established its plant in record time to keep a stable outflow of its vehicles.
First Locally Assembled Units of Haval H6 Revealed
Sazgar Engineering has finally rolled out and revealed the first locally assembled units of Haval H6. During a ceremony in Lahore, the company rolled out two variants of the car:
- 1500cc Turbo (Front Wheel Drive)
- 2000cc Turbo (All Wheel Drive)
It is important to mention that the company was offering only the 1.5T engine variant in CBU. The new 2.0T would surely be an exciting offer for local consumers. It would increase the competition in crossover SUV segments, especially against MG HS, Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, and Proton X70.
The company has announced that it is all set to launch the locally assembled units of Haval H6. Keeping its promise, it revealed the units today. It is pertinent to mention that the company was selling the CBU units of the car before. The crossover proved to be quite a hit among consumers as the company sold its imported units quite quickly.
The company has also promised that the locally assembled units will have almost the same specs and features as the CBU units had. We will bring you the specs and features of this article in another article.
