Used Motorbikes Under 1 Lac with Great Resale

In Pakistan, a motorcycle is considered an affordable mode of personal transport to go from point A to B. Some people spend extra money on their motorbikes due to their passion; most people simply see them as an economical way to get around, and by the word “most,” we literally mean a large number of people in Pakistan.

If you are reading this blog, then you are one of those people looking for a motorcycle with a budget of under Rs 1 lakh. While 1 lac is technically not a budget amount for the middle and working class, thanks to our inflation and currency devaluation, this amount is now considered a budget option even in a motorcycle market.

Here, we’ve got you the best-used motorcycle options that you can consider under 1 lac. We have compiled a list of bikes that consists of these factors:

  • High Resale value
  • Affordable Parts pricing
  • Good Fuel average
  • Easy Mechanics availability

Honda CD70 (2019-2020)

CD70 is a bike that literally needs no introduction. It’s undoubtedly the most popular and most selling 2-wheeler in Pakistan. It’s also the first choice for those who need a cheap mode of transportation and those who are buying their 1st bike.

Its running cost is highly economical, and its fuel average is jaw-droppingly fantastic. Lightfoot can easily give you an average of 58-65 km/l, and heavyfoot can give at least 53 km/l of average. Additionally, you can find its parts on dirt cheap rates, e.g., air filter for Rs.60, headlight bulb for Rs.80, complete tail light for Rs.150, and complete bike tunning for Rs.300, yes, it’s that cheap.

Mechanic availability isn’t an issue for the CD70, and it’s impossible for a mechanic to say he can’t work on a CD70 unless you visit a brand-specific service center.

With a budget of Rs 100,000, and especially if your preference is a low-running cost and affordable motorcycle, the CD70 can be your number one choice.

Suggested price range: 80,000 – 100,000 PKR

Honda CG 125 (2015-2017)

CG 125, aka “Honda” in mechanics language, is not just a bike; it’s a phenomenon in the country, especially among youngsters. Initially, it was designed for the Pakistani market. It can smoothly carry heavy loads, e.g., riding 4-5 people on it, not an issue for the CG. Additionally, the leading cause of its popularity is its sound. Pak people love its sound, especially youngsters in under 30s. Its spare parts are also dirt cheap in the market, i.e., just a bit more expensive than CD70.

Powered by a 124 CC OHV engine, it produces a superb amount of torque, making the CG 125 also a preferred choice for street racers and one-wheelers (we strongly discourage these activities because they are a direct threat to life and property.)

This bike is also highly durable and built to last. Whether it’s extreme heat or extreme winter, its engine will never disappoint. Also, due to its extremely simple engineering, it doesn’t demand regular maintenance.

Under a 1 lac budget, it’s the best option you can have if your preferences are particularly power, pick, and durability.

Suggested price range: 88,000-100,000 PKR

Honda Pridor (2015-2017)

Pridor is also a good machine to consider if you don’t care about resale value because its resale isn’t good. The bike’s overall build quality is fine; its 100cc OHC engine is as smooth as GS 150, and seat cushioning and sitting posture is also suitable for long tours.

The pain problem is with the pricing bucket in which it falls. It’s just cheaper than CG125, and that’s the reason for its failure. With just a small price difference, people are more likely to go with CG instead of pridor as CG has more power, is more reliable, is easier to find spare parts, and has a vast network of mechanics than in the case of Pridor.

However, Pridor is still a good option if you are looking for a brand-new touring bike with a low budget. Its ride quality is exceptionally smooth, and due to its high body weight, it’s very stable at high speeds. Its fuel efficiency is also great, i.e., 52 km/l.

Pricing range: 85000 to 98,000 PKR

Other Chinese 70s 2023-2024

Besides Honda, there are still many Chinese brands that operate in the motorcycle market, and they have good sales figures as well, as brand-new CD70 is way too expensive for the middle or working class, so these people shift their buying decision to Chinese 70cc brands. The most popular Chinese brands are:

  • Road Prince
  • United
  • Metro
  • Super Power
  • Super Star
  • Treet

For a wise deal, you can get an almost brand new Chinese 70cc bike with no more than 3,000 km on the meter for less than PKR 90,000, which should be your max budget for a used 70cc Chinese bike. Otherwise, we’d suggest you go with the zero-meter option, which will cost you PKR 115,000.

These bikes aren’t as reliable as Honda, but pricing-wise, they are an okay option. Note that these Chinese bikes are very sensitive and more prone to breakdown; seat cushioning is also not good, and they produce a lot of vibration, even more than the CG 125.

However, if you aren’t satisfied with used motorcycles and a zero-meter bike is your only preference, then the Chinese 70 can be your good choice. Otherwise, we would honestly suggest you go with the used Honda CD70 2019-2020 model.

Pricing range: 80,000 90,000 PKR
