We all know that our military brothers call the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 70-series RKR and RMR for petrol and diesel versions respectively. Many 4×4 enthusiasts (including me) have wondered that what in the world does RKR or RMR stand for? Is it a military slang word? Is it some kind of “desi” mechanic jargon? Is it an abbreviation? For a very long period, this mystery has remained unsolved.
Well, not anymore. After some painstaking research, I have managed to solve this “Great Mystery” once and for all (or at least I think so). So here it is:
