More and more car manufacturing companies are launching their exclusive electric vehicles as time passes, and competition is getting tough day by day. Similarly, Pakistan is also a part of this revolution, and many car manufacturers operating in the country are introducing their EVs to the local market. Considering that most of them are new entrants, you may find it difficult to choose one. So, here we are again with a complete list of all the EVs in Pakistan that you can buy from their official dealerships.

Hyundai iONIQ 5

iONIQ 5 is Hyundai’s reply to the electric revolution and one of the new entrant EVs in Pakistan’s EV market. It was launched worldwide in May 2021, and Hyundai Nishat Motors seems interested in bringing it to Pakistan now. Currently, they have imported a single demo unit to test it on Pakistan’s environment and roads. Moreover, according to the company, they have started the bookings of iONIQ 5 on Mar 1, 2024, with a delivery ETA of 4-5 months.

From its looks and interior, one can tell that it is a futuristic car due to its unconventional design. You get square-shaped parametric pixel dual LED DRLs, spiral accents on the side views, and a pixelated taillight design, giving the car a truly smart EV design.

Under the floor, Hyudai offers a 72.6 kWh Li-Ion battery that gives you a range of 430 Km and electric motors that produce 225 HP of power and 605 Nm of torque.

Hyundai iONIQ 5 2.25 Crore

Hyundai iONIQ 6

iONIQ 6 is another new entrant in the Hyundai’s EV lineup. From a technical perspective, it’s the upgraded variant of iONIQ 5 with different aesthetics and better performance figures. Exterior-wise, it’s a curvy body, opposite from the iONIQ 5, which was based on a boxy-shaped interior. Talking about the interior, Hyundai calls it a “mindful cocoon-like interior.” Just like the iONIQ 5, Hyundai Nishat Motors stated that the iONIQ 6’s booking started on March 1st, 2024, with a delivery ETA of 4-5 months. 

It’s an AWD vehicle with 77.4 kWh and 277 kW of power output, producing 239 HP of power and 605 Nm of torque with a range capacity of 500-550 Km.

Audi e-tron

The Audi e-tron was the first electric SUV vehicle introduced by Audi in 2019. Just a year later, Audi Pakistan introduced the e-tron in 2020 as a CBU unit. It was Audi’s response to the EV industry, and due to its value-for-money deal, it became one of the best-selling EVs in Pakistan in the SUV category. 

This fully electric vehicle is powered by a 230-300 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, an electric motor at the front axle, and a second electric motor at the rear axle. The system produces 308-408 HP of horsepower and 545 Nm of torque with a range of up to 417 Km. The car competes with the MG ZS EV, and soon, it’ll give tough competition to Hyundai’s iONIQ 5 and iONIQ 6.

Seres 3

Series 3 is an all-electric crossover in the Pakistani market. It’s also one of the few locally assembled EVs in Pakistan with the most affordable pricing. The vehicle made its first debut in October 2023 and officially launched in the local market on November 20, 2023. Behind the steering, you get an all-leather stitched interior, turbine-design AC vents, a floating display that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a 6-way adjustable seat for the driver’s side. 

Talking about the exterior looks, this vehicle does give you the vibe of Glory 580 from the side view. You get 20-inch alloys, a sleek character line for aerodynamics, and a dual-tone paint (with black pillars combination.) On the technical side, the car is equipped with a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) and a 49 kWh Lithium-ion battery producing a peak power of 160 HP of power and torque of 300 Nm

MG ZS EV

MG officially launched the ZS EV in 2021. However, they introduced the facelift version in April 2022 with some exterior, interior, and performance changes, and now it falls under the category of C-segment SUV. From the front, the company offers a body color-matching front grille, sonar sensors, and radar for ADAS, along with projector lamps and DRLs. On the back, you get a rear wiper, brake lamps, and a matte black bumper skirt for better aerodynamics. 

On the interior side, it offers a sporty look. You get an all-black leather interior with ventilated and heated seats + red color stitching along with rear AC vents and spacious legroom, ideal for 4 adults. MG offers two variants, MCE and Long-range. 

MCE has a 51kWH battery, a range of 350 km within the city, and produces 153 HP of power with 280 Nm of torque. The long-range variant gas, a 72kWH battery, provides a whopping 400 km of range along with 174 HP of power, but torque figures are not available for this variant.

Differences in Variants:

The only difference between the two variants is their battery capacity and power output.  MCE comes with a 51kWh battery, produces 153 HP and 280 Nm torque, and 350 Km range. Long-range offers a 72kWh battery, 174 HP power, and 300 Km of range; torque is not available for this variant.

GuGo GiGi

GiGi was first unveiled at the Pakistan Auto Show 2023 (PAPS 2023). It’s perhaps one of the cheapest EVs in Pakistan that you can buy, starting from 4.6 million PKR. It’s a 2-door compact coupe designed for people who want a vehicle with ultra low-running cost.

The EV comes with a 16.8 kWh battery that gives you a range of 220 Km and produces 40 HP of power (similar to Alto). You get an unconventional all-blue color interior with a wooden finish on the dashboard, along with AC, power steering, and power windows.

The price may sound pretty high for this small 2-door car, but it’s due to the battery pack (Lithium iron phosphate battery), which is incredibly expensive to manufacture. However, if you do all the calculations, the running cost per km is only Rs.6, which is even lower than the Honda CD 70 bike, so it’ll cover your cost in 3-5 years.

MG 5 EV

The MG 5 EV is the world’s first all-electric station wagon, offering complete luxury, performance, high boot space, and a spacious cabin. In Pakistan, the company is offering two variants: Trophy and SE. As a station wagon, it spans 15 feet and has a galaxy grille design and MG logo at the center. The side profile offers an aerodynamic look with spiral design alloys and a unique character line. 

The interior is spacious and enough for 4 adults and 5 adults, even on long trips, with 469 liters of boot space. You get an all-leather seat and dashboard designed in soft grey ABS plastic with a touch of aluminum accents and a blue ambient light. Under the floor, you get a 61 kWh battery with a 400 Km range that produces power of 154 HP and 280 Nm of torque.

MG4 EV

MG introduced the MG4 in November 2023 with a pricing range of Rs.1.1-1.3 Crore. The company is currently offering two variants: Essence and Excite. The MG4 Excite has a 51kWh battery capacity, compared to 64kWh in the Essence. 

Meanwhile, the maximum power of the base variant is 167 HP, compared to 201 HP in the top variant. Furthermore, the range of Excite is 350 kilometers/charge, compared to 435 kilometers/charge of the Essence.

The interior of the vehicle is sleek and smart, an all-black leather stitched interior with MG’s signature steering and rectangular AC grills. You get electronic 6-way adjustable seats for the driver and an unconventional rotating gear knob for drive mode selection. For a 1.1-.1.3 crore price, it can be one of the best EVs in Pakistan to consider

ORA 03

ORA 03 was brought to Pakistan by Sazgar Enterprises, the same company that owns Haval. The 03 is a fully electric A-segment hatchback, a one-of-its-kind. The car offers a 47.78 kWh battery, 310-400 kilometers/charge range, 105 HP of maximum power with 219 Nm of maximum torque. On the interior, you get a dual-tone fabric dashboard with leather-stitched seats and rectangular-design AC vents. Its pricing starts from 9 million. However, given its running cost, it will become cheaper than a petrol car in 3-4 years.
