  1. Ali Khan says

Even this watered-down feature list shows just how feature poor the locally assembled Japanese SUVs are.

    A few corrections:
The Toyota corolla cross 1.8L that we have in Pakistan produces a combined output of 138Hp and 207 NM of torque. The petrol engine itself only produces 98HP! Please update this information. Indus Toyota itself does not give the combined power output of this setup on its official site. Maybe vagueness is good in this case. It makes a lot of people speculate and come up with their own (flawed) interpretations (hint, hint). Compared to other hybrids on the market like the Haval H6 hybrid, this is very underpowered. And according to PWs own “research”, both give about the same mileage. So, which is better then? Fun fact, this same hybrid setup in the Prius produces an even less combined total of 120HP!

Local Honda HR-V does NOT have Honda sensing.

    Other things like:
    • Electronic Power Steering
    • Push Start
    • Smart Entry
    • Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)
    • Clearance Sonar (front and rear), also called Parking Sensors
    • Dual-Zone AC
    • Soft leather steering wheel
    • New perforated leather seats, meaning there will be holes in the seats’ leather
    • Changed central cluster
    • CVT transmission
    • Climate control
    • Telescopic steering
    • Front console light
    • LED lights
These are filler features. This just shows how little the Japanese have to offer in this regard. These would have been “outstanding” a decade ago. Now, all the other SUVs on the market have these and MUCH MORE!

Lastly the features of the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro have been cut rather drastically
    • Panoramic Sunroof
    • Double Exhaust Pipes
    • Rain-Sensing Wipers
    • 360 Degree Camera
    • ADAS Features
    • 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster
    • 10.25-inch Infotainment and functions control display
    • 8-inch AC control display
    • Reverse camera with dynamic guidelines
    Just to name a few…
