In Pakistan, a 2-wheeler is always considered a budget and cheap mode of transportation. However, with incredibly high petrol prices, it may no longer be an affordable mode of transportation. In that case, a 2-wheeler EV could be the best option if you want a vehicle with ultra-low running costs. Moreover, more and more working women are rising in Pakistan, and they also deserve a low-cost transportation mode. That’s why we’re here for you with a list of top locally assembler electric bikes and scooters in Pakistan for both women and men.

Affordability – Petrol Vs. EV Bikes

Usually, a 70cc bike does about 53 Km/l, 125cc does 45 Km/l and 150cc does 35 Km/l. Considering the current petrol price in Pakistan, which is Rs.280, the per Km cost of a:

  • 70cc is Rs.5.2
  • 125cc is Rs.6.2
  • 150cc is Rs.8

Now, an EV scooty or motorcycle usually comes with a 23-50 Ah battery and 800-1800 watts of the motor with a range of 60-90 Km. This means they will consume about 0.5-2 units of electricity. If you do all the maths, the per Km cost of an EV is Rs.1.5-2.5, way way cheaper than a petrol-based 2-wheeler.
