Kicking things off with the car he owned the longest, Michael used his 1985 Mercedes-Benz 500 SEL to travel from his home in Enciso to the Los Angeles Studio. When he transformed his house into the fantasy land estate, Neverland Ranch, in Los Olivos, his Mercedes went with him. He later gave this car to his aunt for her birthday before it was sold at Julien Auction’s “Music Icons” for $100,000

Considering that he was and remains one of the most famous people of all time, it seems strange to associate the traditional and ordinary 1988 GMC Jimmy High Sierra Classic with the King of Pop. And yet, it was part of his diverse car collection, possibly due to his love for big cars.

The vehicle came with functional hoses, a water tank, and flashing red lights. This 1986 GMC High Sierra 3500 Fire Truck may have been a way to satisfy his love for Peter Pan.

In another nod to Peter Pan, Michael Jackson commissioned an electric horse-drawn carriage from the Montana Carriage Company. This unusual vehicle came with modern amenities, including a CD player, sound system, and lighting. It even had a “Neverland Valley” decal on its sides. Like many other items from his collection, it was sold at auction in 2009 for around $10,000 to help settle his financial debts.

Rounding out his collection was the Cadillac Escalade, an iconic SUV that Michael was frequently seen driving during the last years of his life. Much like the 1988 GMC Jimmy and 1986 GMC Fire Truck, the Escalade reflected Michael’s love for larger vehicles. Its bold design and luxury features made it a fitting choice for the King of Pop in his final years.

Michael Jackson’s car collection was as multifaceted as the man himself, ranging from classic luxury vehicles to quirky, custom creations. Whether he was driving a high-performance Rolls-Royce or cruising in a Peter Pan-themed golf cart, Michael’s cars gave us a peek into the mind of a man who was as eccentric as he was legendary.
