Just when we thought the year 2021 might be leaving us on a good note, another bad news came knocking on our door. After car price hikes and petrol price hikes, authorities have now hiked the toll tax on ring road.
As per media reports, the Lahore Ring Road Authority has increased toll tax on Lahore ring road out of the blue. From private cars to heavy trucks, the toll tax has been increased by up to Rs. 50.
With a five rupees increase, private cars and jeeps will now pay Rs. 50 toll tax on Lahore ring road. Earlier, they were paying Rs. 45 per trip.
Passenger vans and coasters will now pay Rs. 100 instead of Rs. 90 as their toll tax has been increased by 10 rupees.
Toll tax for passenger buses has been hiked by 20 rupees. So, now they will be paying Rs. 250 instead of the old tax of Rs. 230.
Toll tax for loader trucks, pick-ups, and dumpers has been increased from Rs. 270 to Rs. 300, up by 30 rupees.
Lastly, all the heavy vehicles will have to pay Rs. 500 instead of Rs. 450 as their toll tax has had the most inflation of 50 rupees.
