After New Price Hike Civic Now Costs Rs. 92 Lacs
Well, right when we think car prices can’t go any higher, the auto industry shocks us and proves us wrong. The rising inflation and falling economic trends have resulted in another price hike. Honda Atlas has increased car prices once again, and it’s the third time this year!
The news of the Honda car price hike comes right after the inflation in petroleum products prices. Regardless, the company has cited the devaluation of the Pakistani rupee against the American dollar, the volatile business situation, and the increase in sales tax as the primary reasons behind this Honda car price hike.

Moreover, City CVT 1.5L now costs Rs. 5,019,000 instead of the old Rs. 4,739,000. The difference is Rs. 280,000.

When you increase prices in such a short span of time without the increase of consumer savings or income . The demand for the car will drop substantially and the result will be the closure of these manufacturering plants .They have no economies of scale .Simply import new & old cars and spare parts from India they have economies of scale . Saving huge transportation cost . Pakistani automobile sector manufacturers are not viable for further production they don’t have depth and products (Different brands and variety ) .Its matter of time they have to stop operations.
@Saad
Why are you talking about India ? Pakistan car market is totally different from Indian car market.
Your suggestion is useless.
Pakistan is closer to Middle East’s were India is closer to Asean’s car market.
I booked Oriel car in Apr 22 and was to be delivered in Jun 23 @ Rs 5.8 Million. Since then enormous, illogical, devastating, unethical, obnoxious and in humane increase is simply NOT ACCEPTABLE. I wrote to company many times but put all bales to Govt and inflation. If everything is to be imported then what Local Industries are doing no manufacturing here.
With such increase and no check by incumbent Govt is clearly a sign of FAILING state with no laws. I intend cancellation of booking and withdraw booking token. Let Honda and other companies to be locked and closed but everyone savings is precious.
I also want to comment that all losses and no bookings, thus load has been shifted to consumers. I booked Oriel in Apr 22 and was to delivered in Jun 23, but since price escalated from 5.8 – 8.2 Million. It’s simply NOT ACCEPTABLE and cancelling my booking now. It’s Ridiculous and happens in Pakistan only.
@Captain
Yes it is the best decision cancel your booking.
Even in Islam when you are doing business and your a selling a good for a given price , you have no right to increase it during trading.
