Feature Highlights of New City
The old City has been around for more than 12 years now. It’s the 5th generation model that only has basic features. The new 6th generation City has many modern features such as:
- Electronic Power steering
- Smart Key Entry
- Electric + Auto Retractable Door Mirrors
- Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)
- Emergency Brake Distribution (EBD)
- Push Start
- Automatic Air Conditioning
- Rear AC Vents
- Cruise Control
- Driver Seat Height Adjustment
- 15-inch Alloy Wheels
Please note that only the upper two variants have most of the above features.
The B-segment sedan segment of the Pakistani market is getting more and more populated, and the competition is getting more and more heated. New entrants like Proton and Changan have launched brand new sedans, Proton Saga and Changan Alsvin. As a comeback, Honda has updated the generation of its old sedans, Honda City. And then, there’s Toyota Yaris, the number one sedan in Pakistan.
Let’s see if the new Honda City can take over Yaris and pose a threat to Saga and Alsvin. What do you say?
It’s official in this category no one could beat Proton Saga price, and warranty, it is true it’s only a 1.3L engine in all the trim level, but it is better compared to the 1.2L of Honda city. And because of the prices this generation will get a lot of difficulties because is expensive.
The next two promising sedan in Pakistan are Proton Saga and Hyundai Sonata, both have good price, warranty and qualities.
I think Toyota has a very large fanbase in Pakistan therefore, it is highly unlikely that CIty can overtake Yaris. It already has established a name as a rugged car, whereas neither City nor Chinese contraptions that are called cars has such name.
After converting the most good convenient sedan car of it’s calibre Honda City Aspire to Honda City Mehran (same shape less features for 13 continuous year), finally they are offering 6th generation whereas in all over the world including our neighbour India 8th generation has been launched. Don’t think it could compete with Yaris, Saga, Alsvin or Sonata.

I think it will sold anyway, Honda got a very well established reputation, despite being the previous generation, it is more moderne, beautiful than the previous generation, and seeing how much old car we still have in Pakistan, the customers don’t care, but i’am agree with you it won’t compact with Yaris, Saga, but against alsvin, i think it will outsell alsvin.
For Sonata it’s isn’t the same category but taking into consideration all the sedan available in Pakistan their prices, warranty, qualities, i guess Saga and Sonata will hit the market very soon.
