Photos & Video – Honda City 2023 Facelift Launched
After a long wait and anticipation, Honda Global has launched the facelift of Honda City 2023. Following its product cycle, the company has introduced the facelift of this subcompact sedan. If you look at the car, there are no major changes in look or interior; however, the Japanese carmaker is now offering a number of new safety features.
Exterior
As mentioned earlier, the exterior has no huge changes because it is a minor model change. The company has only upgraded the front grille, bumpers, wheels design, and additional color options. The grille is a mesh patterned air inlet, while the bumper now comes with a carbon-wrapped splitter along with sporty fog lamp garnishes.
The facelift’s rear bumper now has a carbon-wrapped diffuser and body-colored trunk lip spoiler. The 16-inch alloy wheels got a dual-tone diamond cut multi-spoke design, enhancing its overall look. Lastly, Obsidian Blue Pearl is the new color introduced for the facelift.
Interior of Honda City 2023
Just like the exterior, the interior looks more or less similar to the pre-update version. However, the higher-specs version gets a new instrument cluster, adapting Honda Civic V’s partially digital display, which shows more information to the driver. Meanwhile, the lower-spec versions will continue to come with the old cluster as before. Lastly, the Indian and South African markets are expected to get a tan interior in the new facelift.
The Major Changes
Honda City 2023 facelift has received a number of safety and convenience options, including:
- Wireless charging
- LaneWatch System
- Apple CarPlay
- Android Auto
- 7-inch digital TFT display
- One-touch electric sunroof
- Ambient lighting
- New Reverse Camera
- Rain Sensing Wipers
However, the most significant upgrade in the new City is Honda Sensing, meaning the City is also getting the company’s active safety package as standard, at least for the top variants. That means that the new City will now have the following:
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Collision Mitigation Warning
- Lane Keeping Assist
- Lead Car Departure Warning
- Auto High Beam

Any Changes in the Engine?
Nope, there are none. The car will continue to come with the familiar 1.5L I-VTEC engine producing 119hp and 145Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the hybrid version has a total system output of 124hp and 253Nm of torque. The transmission options for non-hybrid also remain the same, a 6-speed manual or CVT.
