The protests erupted across the country yesterday after police arrested Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) head Maulana Saad Rizvi. As per media reports, the protestors blocked the roads in Rawalpindi, Karachi, Islamabad and other major cities of the country. The reports further said that demonstrators refused to give way to private and public transport.

Issues Due To Blockades:

Last night, the people in Lahore had to face very long ques of traffic across the city. The people who were returning back to their homes after office hours, had to wait for hours on roads. The protestors blocked the major roads and refused to allow the traffic to move.

Even today, the people faced same issue while coming to offices, as the roads are still blocked by the protestors. Many of the citizens have to return back to their homes because of these blockades and traffic jams. Meanwhile, police and traffic wardens are trying their best to move the traffic.

The authorities have asked the people to remain safe and take precautionary measures.
