2024 is going to be a groundbreaking year for car launches. We got the Yaris’s facelift, Honri Ve, GUGO GIGI mini, Corolla Cross CKD, and HS 2.0T. Not only that, but next week, we’re getting the official launch of Deepal and BYD on the 16th and 17th of August 2024. Along with that, we might also get other cars launched by the end of 2024, our sources told us. Here’s the list of the confirmed future car launches and unconfirmed car launches (data from credible sources of Pakwheels.)
BYD’s EV and PHEV Cars | Launched Confirmed
Launch Date: 17th August 2024
BYD, a Chinese-origin company that’s also the biggest EV manufacturer in the world, will introduce its operations in Pakistan on 17th August 2024. Currently, we got intel from our sources that three models are coming out, of which two are EV and one is PHEV:

Deepal’s EV Cars | Launched Confirmed
Launch date: August 16, 2024
Deepal is a daughter of the Changan in China. While Changan makes ICE cars, Deepal makes fully EV cars. Now, this brand is also coming to Pakistan by Master Motors, the same group that owns the Changan franchise in Pakistan. Currently, they are all set to bring two models:

The brand will introduce its operations along with these two introductory launch models on August 16, 2024, just a day before the launch of BYD.
Hyundai Elantra Facelift Hybrid | High Chances of Being Launched
Expected launch date: Near the end of 2024
According to our sources, Nishat Motors is already testing Hyundai’s facelift Elantra on Pakistani roads. They are interested in introducing the 7th generation of Elantra in Pakistan with a hybrid train. Currently, Pakistan is stuck with the 6th generation Elantra, which is naturally aspirated 1,600cc and 2,000cc.
For the 7th generation we’re not sure what engine configuration Hyundai will offer in the Pakistani 7th generation. Maybe they will launch the optional sports trim along the HEV variant, the N variant, which is a 1.4-liter turbocharged version with some sporty cosmetics add-ons on the interior and exterior.

Kia Sportage 5th Generation | High Chances of Being Launched
Expected launch date: Near the end of 2024
Just like Elantra’s 7th generation, we also got intel that Kia is interested in launching the 5th generation of Kia Sportage in Pakistan by the end of 2024. We don’t know whether it’ll be a Hybrid, turbocharged, or naturally aspirated model. All we know is that the fifth generation of Sportage might soon be available in Pakistan.

Suzuki Every Mild Hybrid | Low Chances of Being Launched in Pakistan
Expected launch date: Near the end of 2024 or in the early months of 2025
Pak Suzuki might introduce the locally manufactured Every in Pakistan with the same configurations as the JDM version. I.e., 660cc engine + mild hybrid battery. However, the chances are very low, and we’ve not heard anything about that from Suzuki’s team, although the source of this information is very authentic and from a credible person.

What is DYD Dolphin going to be 90 lacs? I don’t think it’s going to be a hit since it cost only $14000 in most countries.

Cheap industrial land and cheap labour should make them cost effective

KIA Lucky Motors should focus on and launch latest generation Picanto parallel to UK version and Niro Hybrid variant in Pakistan
I don’t expect these vehicles will achieve high selling targets because of their price range. Expected prices seems too high in comparision with similar vehicles in the region. Manufacturer and business partners must consider offering reasonable prices to make their products affordable for middle and lower middle class, which will of course help increase the sale and make their brand popular.
All the car above mentionned, are doomed to fall, a Kia Carnival is 1.6 crore as a CBU and is a resonable price for what is offer, otherwise it is the best MPV in the market.
