It has been quite a while since we all have been expecting Honda to give it’s much awaited facelift and Malaysia has become the first country to receive the revised 2012 Honda City.

Honda has that the new City will be available in two models, Grade S which is the base model and Grade E which is the full spec variant.

The Honda City facelift is getting safety features like the two front airbags, the ABS with EBD, the Brake Assist and ISOFIX as standard, while the Grade E is adding the VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist). Other features found on the top spec are the front fog lights, the chrome exhaust tips, retractable side mirrors with integrated turn signals, the paddle shifters, the leather wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, cup holders on the arm rest and the bigger wheels.

The front bumper has been tweaked and refined to give a more sportier styling like the current facelifted Honda Civic, which the design is likely inherited from the much-admired Honda Civic Type R. The front grille has been switched to the chrome type.

The rear bumper and tail lights have been redesigned with a more unique look. The lower part of the rear bumper has been detailed with a black layer to give more contrast with the rear reflector. With these tweaks on the exterior, the overall aerodynamic is claimed to be improved.

The new Honda City is powered by the same Honda’s 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine that produces 120PS. And to encourage driver to save more fuel, Honda has fitted an “ECO” indicator lamp on the dashboard which will automatically lit up to tell the driver that they are driving efficiently.

The new facelifted Honda City’s dashboard is also like up by blue lights to continue giving it the futuristic look and feel.

A set of original Honda Modulo bodykits and other accessories is also available. The full package will include a front, back, side bottom spoiler as well as a wing type spoiler on the boot or the duck tail type spoiler.
