Atlas Honda has launched an easy installment plan for all Honda bikes in collaboration with different banks, including Standard Chartered, MCB, UBL, and Faysal. Furthermore, there will be zero percent markup on all models. As per the company, the installment plan is for 12 months, while with some banks, it is upto 36 months.
The company is offering different installments for different bikes; for example, the installment for Honda CG 125 goes as low as Rs. 8,515 per month. Meanwhile, the lowest installment for Honda CD 70 is Rs. 5,565 per month. However, it is essential to mention that not all banks offer these installments.
Also, it is pertinent to mention that this offer is only for credit card holders.
Instalment Plan by Suzuki & Yamaha
In November 2022, Suzuki Pakistan launched an installment plan for its latest launch Suzuki GSX 125. With 0% markup and 24 EMI; the plan started with a 30% advance payment of the total price, which was Rs. 359,000 at the time of this offer. The down payment was Rs. 107,00, and then the buyer could’ve paid the rest of the price in two years.
Meanwhile, in September 2022, Yamaha Motor Pakistan offered an installment plan for its bikes with a 0% markup. As per the company dealers, the consumer could pay the 50% amount as a down payment, while the rest could be paid in four months. The offer was only valid for specific cities, on limited stock, and for a limited time.
Possible Reason Behind These Plans
The reason behind these plans is the very high prices of these bikes. In the last couple of years, the prices of Big3 of the bike industry, Honda, Yamaha, and Suzuki, have jumped multifold. And the reason is the rapid devaluation of PKR against the US during this period. And the situation is expected to remain the same in the coming months.
