Proof That Changan Alsvin Is An Underrated Car
Pakistanis are so invested in the war of Honda City and Toyota Yaris they are missing out on a special sedan — Changan Alsvin. Most people just call Alsvin China ka maal and move on with their day. Today, we’ll change the narrative and bring justice to Alsvin.
Do you know that Alsvin’s base variant has some exceptional features that are not available in even the top-of-the-line variants of City and Yaris? Don’t believe us? Just watch!
1. Daytime Running Lights aka DRLs
Changan Alsvin 1.3L Manual variant has LED DRLs that enhance the car’s beauty and make it a showstopper on the road.
2. Manually Adjustable Headlamps
Alsvin’s halogen projector headlamps are manually adjustable, so you can set their position however you like. If you want to steer clear of the bumps and holes on the road, improve your visibility by lowering the position of headlamps. If you are driving up a hill or slope, lift the headlamps for an easier drive.
3. 15-Inch Alloy Wheels
Have you ever seen alloys in the base variant of City or Yaris? Nope, neither have we. Changan Alsvin is the first budget sedan that has 15-inch alloy wheels in all its variants. These wheels take the car’s grace to the next level.
4. Leather Seats
Alsvin’s base variant has another premium feature that the budget and even the most luxury cars skip — leather seats.
5. Multimedia Steering Controls
Changan Alsvin’s power steering has six multimedia control buttons that make the ride easier and more fun.
6. 7-Inch Touchscreen
Alsvin 1.3L MT Comfort has a 7-inch touchscreen with radio, Bluetooth, and other media options.
7. Reverse Camera with Parking Sensors
Reversing is not a probletm for Alsvin drivers because the reverse camera with guidelines and parking sensors shows them where to move.
On top of everything, there’s the huge price difference. The base variant of Changan Alsvin comes at Rs. 21.5 lacs. The price of Honda City base variant is Rs. 26 lacs and that of Toyota Yaris is Rs. 24 lacs.
Have you known about these unexpected features of Changan Alsvin MT Comfort all along, or did you just find out? In either case, would you agree that Alsvin is a better car than City and Yaris? If not, why? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
Sorry sister there is nothing special about this cars, is overated, and it seem biazed.
We don’t forget Changan with Haval are the two brand who are already increasing their cars prices when nobody has done such move.
I am sorry author but my perception about Alsvin is also same, it is a Chinese and thus cannot be better than a Japanese. Besides, note that most of the budget car buyers want a durable car rather than these useless features and in the regard of durability, this Changan is yet to report whether it would take the toll that Yaris has already taken? Yaris is being used as breaking news car by news channels already, I saw one with that large antenna a few weeks ago can Alsvin pull it off?
To understand what I mean, look at V2, it is actually a Chinese copy of Vitz but how good it really is? Its parts are expensive, it breaks apart on rough use, I have seen V2s in Karachi faded and rusted than their Suzuki counterparts bought in similar period. Only few people out there keep on telling public that V2 but reality is the car is money pit, it needs extreme care and while Suzuki or Toyota can take well delayed oil change and spark plugs cleansing, I am not sure whether this Alsvin would do it. So my question, why should I risk my 2.1million for a mere 0.25million difference?
P.S. one out of fifteen or seventeen reviews about Alsvin already states that the buyer has been seriously disgusted with car’s performance, he has placed it as chal bhai mechanic kay pass and it has just been few months. What is going to happen to such vehicle when it becomes older? I suspect those flashy features that you are harping about would be dangling or fizzling off. I can say this for sure, even second hand Corolla, Civic and City are less riskier at the moment than this Alsvin and in 21.5million their better versions could be sourced so in my view it is safer to go for them.
@ Khurram just reading the features mentionned in this articles, we can say a lot of cars already have those in Pakistan.
In sub compact sedan segment this car is the most expensive and the least durable.
@ I agree brother Waqas, Alsvin is least durable and people have already reported its parts are expensive as compared to other cars, so for a mass car buyer, the Alsvin is mostly out.
