One of the most-awaited auto shows has been postponed yet again. The Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts & Accessories Manufacturers (PAAPAM) has decided to delay the PAPS 2022 for the third time now.
Initially, the three-day auto event was supposed to be held from the 2nd to the 5th of July, 2021, but got delayed to mid-November 2021. That was the first time PAAPAM had to reschedule the event.
Later, the show got delayed for the second time and moved to 2022. So, the PAPS 2021 became PAPS 2022 with final dates of 21st to 23rd of January 2022. As soon as we got to January, the show was rescheduled again.
New PAPS 2022 Dates
PAAPAM has not yet announced the new dates for PAPS 2022, nor did the company state the reason for this last-minute rescheduling of the show. But it’s likely due to the current wave of COVID-19 and its new Omicron variant.
The new dates will be announced once the PAAPAM gets the event approval from the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP). We’ll let you know as soon as we get the update.
Ever since COVID-19 broke out in 2020, there have hardly been any auto events in Pakistan. Good thing PakWheels was able to bring back Car Mela and Auto Show in December 2021, and we got to experience the beauty of cars after two years.
Too bad that we won’t be able to have the Pakistan Auto Show 2022 anytime soon. But the PakWheels Karachi Car Mela is still on the calendar for the 19th of Feb, 2022, where sellers come to sell their cars and bikes and buyers visit to buy cars and bikes. Sellers have thousands of interested buyers, and buyers have hundreds of available-for-sale cars. A win-win for everyone.
