Pakistan’s 1st Locally Assembled Hybrid Crossover is Almost Here

Pakistan’s first locally assembled hybrid electric vehicle (HEV), Haval H6, is almost here. According to details, Sazgar Engineering, the local assembler of Haval vehicles, has told us that the launch of this vehicle is very near. Our reliable sources have told us the company will start displaying the new crossover SUV at its dealerships in next few days. 

This indeed is a massive achievement for a local car company. If you remember, Sazgar Engineering launched the locally assembled Haval H6 last month. And within a couple of month or so, the company is all set to launch Pakistan’s very own first hybrid car. And Sazgar has achieved the feat despite being a new entrant in the local market. 

Expected Launch of Haval H6 HEV 

Our sources and company officials told us that the launch event would be held next month, meaning after a couple of weeks only. PakWheels will bring the exclusive first-look review of the crossover SUV very soon, so stay tuned.

Locally Assembled Haval H6 

As we told you earlier, Sazgar Engineering launched the locally assembled Haval H6 last month. Here are specs and features of this crossover SUV. 

Powertrain

The H6 comes with two engine options. One has a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine which produces 147 hp and 230 nm of torque. The top-spec variant has a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that pumps out 205 hp and 320 nm of torque, the highest power among all crossovers in the market. The 1.5T variant is FWD, while the 2.0T variant is AWD. Both these engines are configured with a 7-speed DCT transmission.

Salient Features

The Haval H6 is packed with features, including tablet-style information displays, leather interior with colour options, full LED lights, 19-inch alloy wheels in the 2.0T, electric seats, dual-zone climate control, etc. Safety features include 6 airbags, parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, TPMS, ABS brakes with ESP, and traction control. The car has a list of ADAS features for driver assistance, including adaptive cruise control, auto reverse, auto park, lane assist, blind spot monitor, and much more.

1.5T vs. 2.0T

Apart from the engine, these 2 variants have some differences in features as well. These include rim size; the 2.0T gets 6 parking sensors in the front, while the 1.5T has 4. The 2.0T has a heads-up display, while the 1.5T doesn’t. There’s also a difference in the infotainment system size; the 1.5T has a 10.1-inch display, while the 2.0T has a 12.3-inch system. The 2.0T also gets extra ADAS features like auto reverse, auto park, and an electric passenger seat.

Price

The current ex-factory price of the Haval H6 1.5T is PKR 74.25 lacs, while the 2.0T is priced at PKR 84.99 lacs. The car is available for booking, and deliveries have also been started.
