The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid, a refreshing new competitor to the long-standing hybrid epitome Toyota Prius, is making its mark with its unique design, impressive power figures, and envy-inducing mileage. The Civic, a popular choice among the masses for its practicality, value-for-money, and enjoyable riding experience, now offers a nimble drive with advanced safety in both sedan and hatchback body styles. For those ready to take their game up a notch, the Civic Hybrid Sport and Hybrid Sport Touring trims are available.

New Civic Hybrid- Overview

This new hybrid sedan features a couple of cosmetic changes, including a new front mesh grill, a reworked headlight, and a sleeker body style. The front fascia is now more aggressive, and the hood features the Honda logo. Taillights get a darker tint this time, while the wheels hint towards an aerodynamic effect. Where the 2025 non-hybrid variant offers two trims, LX sedan, and Sport sedan and hatchback body style, the Civic Hybrid variant will be offered in Sport and Sport Touring trim levels in both hatchback and sedan styling. Luckily, two new colors, Sand Dune Pearl and Blue Lagoon Pearl, will see the sunlight this year.

Civic Hybrid Engine

The new Civic comes with a 2-liter, 4-cylinder engine with two electric motors which can combinedly produce 200 HP. It features front-wheel drive and regenerative braking is available on driver’s preference. However, the company claims a fuel economy of 50 MPG, where the drivers will have three drive modes of Eco, Normal, and Sport to choose from. Under the seats will be a lithium-ion battery pack, but the OEM hasn’t revealed much details about the charging range and setup yet.

Upgraded Interior

The new interior is roomy and can easily accommodate five adults. It features heated seats, a sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a wider center console, plenty of storage capacity, and a decent trunk capacity.

The official delivery date of the new Honda Civic Hybrid has not been announced yet, but we expect it to hit the roads this summer to fiercely compete with its rivals, the Toyota Prius, Hyundai Elantra, and the Toyota Corolla.
