Today’s owner review series features the 2018 8th Generation Mazda Carol. For those who don’t know, the Mazda Carol is the Japanese variant of the Suzuki Alto manufactured in Pakistan. The Carol is like a mini hybrid version with two batteries, as claimed by the manufacturer. So, without further delays, let’s head into it.

Fuel Average

Within the city, the Carol offers a fuel average of 19-24 km/l, while on longer routes, the number can rise to 25-26 km/l.

Price

The owner purchased this car last year for around Rs 2.6 million. Currently, the price of this car is not confirmed, but the owner believes it is still economical.

Purchase Decision

With a specific budget and requirements, the owner had options for the Daihatsu Mira ES, Suzuki Wagon R, and Suzuki Alto. However, he opted for this option due to various features that appealed to the owner.

Features and Modifications

The Mazda Carol has many impressive features that make it stand out from the local Suzuki Alto. Some exciting features include auto braking, ABS braking, more excellent leg room, automatic transmission, lane-keeping assist, halogen light bulbs, improved suspension and engine performance, alloy rims, etc. After purchasing, the owner installed new tires and an LED multimedia unit.

Interior

The interior has a good-quality matte finish that complements the overall feel of it. Moreover, the AC functionality is satisfactory even in temperatures beyond 40 degrees. Also, the front seats are comfortable, as shared by the owner.

Maintenance Parts Availability

Similar to the local Suzuki Alto, the parts are readily available in the market. The maintenance costs include oil replacement and tuning, around Rs 4000-5000 per month. Since the car has a 660cc engine, it has a lifetime token for registration.
