Three-wheeler rickshaw comes as a prominent ‘Awami Sawari’ in inflation-stricken South Asian and East Asian markets. And after car rates along with fuel prices are marking a new high, electric vehicles have derived automaker’s attention towards the plan dubbed ‘Go Green’ (electric rickshaws).
Following e-scooters and electric cars, comes Audi’s electric rickshaw. A joint venture of ‘Nunam,’ a non-profit startup based in Berlin and Bangalore has successfully manufactured an electric rickshaw with a capacity to run on e-Tron’s high voltage batteries – another plan to find a second life for e-Tron batteries.
As per the details, Audi and Nunam worked on the charging time, design, and range of these e-rickshaws. High-energy-density battery with low vehicle weight marks a clear edge over fuel-powered conventional electric and fuel rickshaws.
Normally, traditional electric rickshaws run on short-service life lead-acid batteries. Whilst Audi’s electric three-wheelers will be charged through charging stations running on solar energy.
Super Star’s Electric Scooter Revealed
Rapid increases in car and bike prices, along with rocketing fuel prices, have nudged the local auto manufacturers to go green with electric scooters. After startup firm Evee electric launched an EV moped, the local motorcycle makers Super Star also came with the same – teased only abstract silhouette.
Weeks after, the local motorcycle company has now unveiled the electric scooter – released the image flaunting the details of the scooter.
The photo of the EV scooter narrates sharp angles and edges with a modern look. It stands toe to toe with mopeds’ typical design language – again, flat floorboard and a short wheelbase. Meaning, there is no big change observed in Super Star’s electric two-wheeler. The company offers two colors – sea green and aqua blue.
As per company’s official, the electric moped is in the testing phase and going through the further development process. He didn’t reveal the launch date of EV scooter. It will take place soon, he added.
