PakWheels has brought a rather unique and exciting review of Italy-imported Bianchi Bicycle for its followers. In the past few months, cycling is on the rise in Pakistan, especially after the outbreak of COVID-19, as cyclists have got empty roads to themselves. 

The bike has an electric motor, digital meter, and portable charger, among other features in it, making it an excellent option for both fitness and fun.

Price: 

Talking to PakWheels, the owner said the cost of this Bicycle is Rs0.8 million. “However, I bought a second-hand one at a price of Rs4.5 lacs,” the owner said.

Features and Modes: 

The owner said this is Bianchi’s Impulso 2019 model, and it’s a pedal-assisted E-bike. “The bike has 250-watt Italian motor,” the owner said, adding that it gives 500-watt peak power during the ride. The owner further said the government of Italy has restricted it to a speed of 25-kilometer per hour.

Further discussing the features, the owner said this bike has five modes. “First two modes are for long commute with 60-70% paddle assist, third mode is for slight climbing, and in fourth and fifth mode, the motor gives it full power,” the owner said.

Talking about the gears, he said the bike has manual gears but are changed through shifters, with a tap of your fingers.

Group Set: 

The owner said the group set is main part of every bicycle. “All of gears, pedals, derailleurs and disc brakes are included in this set,” he told PakWheels.

Motor Power and Charging:

The motor generates 70nm of torque and it can be charged in 3 hours. “After full charge you can ride this bike up to 200 kilometers in 1st and 2nd modes,” the owner said, adding that it has a portable charger and battery percentage display on the lower frame.

Digital Monitor: 

The owner further told PakWheels that the bicycle has digital monitor which shows human power, motor power, range and distance covered.

Bike’s Frame Material: 

The frame of bicycle is made of aluminum, while carbon fiber is used to make its forks. “The aluminum makes it sturdy and reliable,” the owner said.

Lights: 

The bicycle has both front and taillights, making it very safe for riding on main roads of big cities. “Lights and helmet are essential for bike riding in Pakistan because there is bike-lane and threat of accident is high,” the owner told us.

Maintenance:

According to the owner, the mechanical parts of this bike including handle bars and brakes are readily available in Pakistan, while electrical ones such as motor, have to be imported.

Safety Measures: 

The owner said there are no specific security features in it as he and other riders do not leave their bikes unattended. “We usually travel in groups and keep our bikes with us at all times,” the owner shared.

Is Cycling Costly? 

Discussing the cost of cycling in Pakistan, the owner said we are group of around 100 riders and only 20 have special road bikes, while others have regular mountain bikes. “The second-hand market of E-bicycles is not much present in the country, while used mountain bikes can easily be bought,” he said.

According to the owner, cycling is not a costly hobby because you can ride even on normal bicycles, because its all about passion for riding and fitness.

“This hobby is very beneficial in this period of coronavirus because it enhances your immunity system,” the owner said.
