Bugatti has broken records by selling its last gas-powered Bugatti Chiron supercar for $10.7 million.

The company held an auction for the Bugatti Chiron Profilée on February 1st, 2023 in Paris. Ugatti advertised this auction as the last opportunity to buy this one-of-a-kind car equipped with  the W16 engine from the Atelier in Molsheim.

bugatti chiron profileeThis Bugatti Chiron stands out among its competitors as it has a built-in wing in the rear to add stability at high speeds and provide cooling for the engine. The outstanding exterior, known as  Argent Atlantique, houses an interior shrouded in a leather finish. The Profilée sports horseshoe-style wheels inspired by Bugatti’s horseshoe grille, while the lower part of the exterior is painted in a royal blue carbon tint.

This supercar is one of the fastest among its rivals, as it can reach zero to 100 kilometers an hour in just 2.3 seconds. The Chiron Profilée came into being due to the high demand from customers. People wanted something like the Chiron Sport but a more feisty and dynamic version. But, the popularity of Chiron Sport made it to be sold out before the completion of Profilée’s production.

Only one Profilée model was built by Bugatti, so the company decided to auction it off. And they did that with a bang! Bugatti has not revealed the identity of the buyer who paid a hefty amount of $10.7 million.
