Yesterday, we told you that the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) had accepted the proposal to increase the General Sales Tax (GST) from 18% to 25% on all cars above Rs. 40 lacs but with engine sizes lower than 1400cc. As per details, cars from Pak Suzuki, Toyota, Honda, and Proton are going to be affected by this new policy. Suzuki with the Cultus VXL and Proton with the Sage Ace 1.3 A/T, these companies have an opportunity here. Both those cars are just over the 40 lac mark. All these two companies have to do is discount these two cars by 1 lac each. That will put them below the 40 lac mark, thereby, bypassing this tax. They will both have very compelling products on their hands.
That is if proton can EVER get their 💩 together.

Proton is still making sales, just because we don’t have any number dosn’t mean the opposite.
Proton should launch the Iriz, it will be one of the nicest designed hatchback in the market with Suzuki Swift but surely with a better price, it will change from Suzuki hatchback and Kia Picanto.
