Exclusive – Honda HR-V to Have 2 Locally Assembled Variants

The launch of all new Honda HR-V is just days away as our sources told us that Honda Atlas has shown the crossover SUV to its dealers on this weekend. After the meeting, our sources have shared some exclusive information with us and here are the details they have told us.

Two Locally Assembled Variants 

Earlier, we believed that new crossover SUV will have one locally assembled petrol and one CBU hybrid variant. However, there is an updated. As per the sources, the company is planning to launch not one but two locally assembled petrol variants. “The base variant will be called VTi, while the top variant’s name is VTi S,” the sources claimed.

Expected Price of Honda HR-V

The sources told us that the expected price of Honda HR-V VTi would range between Rs. 63 to Rs. 65 lacs. Meanwhile, the top variant’s price would be around Rs. 67 lacs. If these are the actual prices then Honda HR-V will give a tough competition to already existing crossover SUVs.

Expected Power and Colours

The sources revealed that new HR-V will come with the same engine of Honda BR-V and Honda City with CVT transmission. The base variant would produce 145hp and top variant will generate 189hp. The car will come in two colours, red and metallic silver and both have will have black pillars and roof.

Also, the front grille of VTi variant will be black-coloured while in VTi S, it would be body coloured.

Expected Launch of Honda HR-V

The sources believe that the car would be displayed at different dealerships of Honda in next 4-5 days and then the company will launch this car officially.

Meanwhile, Honda Atlas has released another video teaser of the car with caption: “The Honda HRV is coming your way.” And this means the launch is very near because as Honda said, “It’s time for an exciting new start.”
