With an aim to bring an ease in vehicle registration process, the Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department in Lahore has come with an update – introduced new mobile vehicle registration service. The service brings the registration process right to people’s doorstep, saving them time and hassle.

Starting March 19th, the Punjab Excise Mobile Registration Service will kick off its operations at the Bagh-e- Jinnah Quaid-e-Azam Library parking lot. After that, in another phase, it will move to Liberty Chowk Gulberg on March 20th and then to the Fortress Stadium Lahore Cantt on March 21st. On March 22nd, it will set up at Johar Town Maulana Shaukat Ali Road Car Market.

But that’s not all. The department is also working with the Punjab Motors Dealers Association to spread awareness about the importance of timely registration and transfer of vehicles. This will help ensures that everyone stays on the right side of laws and avoid any unnecessary fines or penalties.

The aim of this initiative is to make vehicle registration more convenient for everyone. Instead of people having to go to government offices and wait in long lines, they can now get their vehicles registered right where they are.

Overall, this mobile registration service is a great step forward in making life easier for the residents of Lahore. It shows that the government is listening to people’s needs and taking action to make things better for everyone.

Virtual Vehicle Registration Card

In Jan’24 the Punjab Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Department launched a virtual registration card for vehicles. It is pertinent to mention that the non-issuance of registration cards has long been an issue for new vehicle owners because they were not being issued to them while traffic police were imposing a fine for not having a registration card. Launching this digital card and mobile service will resolve a serious issue for vehicle owners in Punjab.
