An arch-rival copy-cat application to Twitter, dubbed threads, launched by Instagram’s parent company ‘Meta’ was not the only blow to Elon Musk, the way the famous American YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson trolled the plutocrat also walloped him.
Threads, a text-based public discussion platform, was launched on July 5, 2023. After the app went live in 100 countries, attracted a multitude of top content creators and social media influencers creating a buzz among the netizens. MrBeast was among them, joined the platform, and surprisingly marked a new high. The YouTuber became the first and fastest-growing user, amassing a million followers on the application.
How Elon Musk Gets Pranked?
After the top youtuber achieved the milestone, decided to commemorate the achievement by announcing a giveaway, surprising enough to troll twitter and its honor Elon Musk. Known for his penchant for extravagant giveaways and bestowing lavish rewards upon individuals through his videos, Jimmy Donaldson was expected to announce an amazing giveaway like always.
Yet, what took everyone by surprise was Jimmy’s revelation that he intended to gift a ‘Tesla‘ to one of his followers on Threads. This action appeared somewhat mischievous, considering the fact that the renowned Tesla magnate, Elon Musk, has openly expressed his dislike for Mark Zuckerberg’s Threads, considering it a competitor to Twitter.
However, the online giveaway also sparked lively debates, as some doubted its genuineness and suspected that Donaldson might be joking. Consequently, people were eagerly waiting and anticipating the post from ‘MrBeast’ regarding giveaway he announced days back.
The Lucky Winner
In a recent development, @mklord revealed in an update stating, “@mrbeast said his team will reach out to me tomorrow.”
The recipient of the giveaway expressed his joy at winning a Tesla, the car brand associated with Elon Musk, through a new app created by MrBeast’s competitor. This fact heightened the significance of the prize for the winner and provided entertainment for MrBeast’s followers on the platform.
If we look at the image of the car the youtuber posted in appears to be Tesla Model 3. Moreover, this is not the sole instance where MrBeast has displayed his philanthropic nature. In May of this year, Jimmy played a pivotal role in facilitating the provision of prosthetic limbs to 2,000 amputees in Cambodia.
