I just checked here on Pakwheels and the price of the MG ZS is around 44lacs. The so called top variant of the Yaris is now 46lacs. The MG ZS is a crossover, it is bigger with more passenger room, it has a bigger more usable cargo space that can be extended by flat folding rear seats; and the remarkable thing is it can achieve the flat-folding rear seats without having silly names for the folded seats configurations like the Honda HR-V. 😆🤦‍♂️ The MG ZS also has better features and is much better looking. I think at this point the MG ZS is the better deal. (Even if the price of the MG ZS is increased to match the Yaris, the MG is still the better deal.)

At this point, die-hard fanboys and actual off-road enthusiasts not withstanding, if anyone is looking for an on-road SUV, all the new comers on the market are better deals than Toyota’s very over priced offerings.

The new comers in the market have a golden opportunity here. They must try not to increase the prices just because they can. They can avail this opportunity by offering lower prices and better value for money vehicles.

But since all the people who have invested in the car brands are the same and are only concerned with quick profits and short term gains… Kis Nu Ky rahy ho! 🤷‍♂️

It seems that you have always been labouring under a false consensus affect, why do you keep on harping on about a Chinese car when you have never used it?
Also, where on earth people would be stacking luggage in a MG, your legs? Toyota Yaris is a sedan; it could seat five people and house reasonable amount of luggage together. As for features, if your brain cannot see resale value, cheaper parts prices, lower taxes, ease of getting the vehicle repaired, vehicles synchronisation with peoples’ skills level as well petrol and oil quality then that does not mean that these characteristics have vanished into thin air. They remain and shall remain, therefore, please refrain from making oddity-based comments in future and do not compare two different classes of products.

“labouring under a false consensus affect”
“vehicles synchronisation with peoples’ skills level ”
Dude!! What are you on about?!!! And you do know you can auto correct spellings. Right?

    “oddity-based comments”
Coming from a guy who believes his old corolla became more fuel efficient when you wore your seat belt. 🤣🤣🤣

The boot capacity of the MG ZS:
Boot capacity with rear seats up and only filled up to rear seat height = 359L
Full Boot capacity with rear seats up = 470L
Boot capacity with rear seats folded down = 1166L

The Boot capacity of the Yaris also Known as the Toyota Viso in other markets:
    Boot capacity = 475L. That’s it!!!
Yes it is a sedan. Meaning the boot is nothing more than a glorified suitcase. No expansion and no flexibility for actual family use.

Lastly, check the Pakwheels car section. Used ones are selling above the purchase price for a new one and actual new MG ZS are selling close to 49 or 50. The ever present problem of “own” unfortunately; however, it shows that the MG ZS is commanding a very healthy resale value.

You can check all the figures easily enough. That is, if you can get yourself to do some labor to check your facts before ranting in the comments section.
