Cricketer Sohaib Maqsood Exposes Rs 14 Million Car Fraud

Pakistani Cricketer Sohaib Maqsood has reported a Rs 14 million car scam committed by the car dealer in Multan.

According to Maqsood’s social media post on X ( Formerly known as Twitter) on 20th October, 2025, he stated that the showroom owner sold his vehicle, still under his name, without taking his permission. However, the dealer sold the car without taking the original documents from the cricketer. The details of the tweet are as follows. 

Furthermore, he claimed that the dealer gave him another vehicle with fake documents and charged an additional 7 million rupees during the deal.

After nearly eight months, he discovered his car parked at a private residence in Lahore. Upon confronting the person who claimed ownership, the individual stated that even the police couldn’t take this vehicle away.

Maqsood has requested authorities including Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Punjab Police, and other provincial authorities to investigate the matter, and take strict actions. 

Sohaib emphasized that “if a national athlete can fall victim to such a scam, ordinary citizens are even vulnerable.” He further mentioned that such fraudsters should be caught who play with people’s hard earned money. 

Many social media users urged authorities to take swift action, noting that such cases of fraud are becoming increasingly common.
